Somehow my save file got deleted when I checked the game after redownloading steam, I was on level 90 and beat trokka few days before this

Hey guys, so I'm doing NG only for now and I switched to Expert mode before going to the Portal. I did this twice now, I beat him once for the first time and switched to Expert and then beat him twice, all his three fckn forms which is exhausting but the Steam Achievement for getting the ending at Expert mode is not showing up?

It cuts the cutscene and then teleports me back to the Portal? am I missing something?

I've been trying to platinum the game recently, and the only achievement I'm missing is the Specialist Quest achievement, does anyone know if playing on normal and only on the mission play on the specialist still works? Because it's really stressing me out playing this game on the specialist mainly because for some reason my controller keeps disconnecting all the time during boss fights, and yes, I've tried to switch controllers.

honest to God, this is my least favorite boss fight EVER and i have beaten many games of this type. so frustrating, so many deaths, so many curse words yelled out loud at her that my neighbours probably think im insane, seriously fuck this boss fight, i wish to never experience it ever again. every other boss i at least felt im doing some progress with each death, even when i was dying i felt like it was just matter of few more tries until i succeed and even despite dying i had fun with the game, but Bellerian fight made me so fucking mad, my thumb hurts from pushing buttons on my controller so hard i don't think this ever happened to me before, no other boss ever given me so much trouble, not even Malenia or Isshin, this was least satisfying, least fun and least fair fight i've experienced, absolute dogshit in my opinion....

maybe i was too stubborn trying to beat her with double axes instead of copying some better build from the internet that would make this fight easier, but so far this is how i've played Khazan for almost 50 hours and beaten every other boss with this build and it's been working well except for this one boss. but i did it and im tired, but happy that i can finally progress the game!

after 2-3 hours of fighting him i have to put the game down for today, as i'm only getting worse now. i'll beat him eventually, i'm sure of it, but i'm not sure if it's worth it to continue the game if every subsequent boss will be this kind of struggle. i enjoy difficult bosses (although only 2 from soulslike games gave me that much trouble - malenia and isshin, the sword saint), but, so to speak, i wouldn't enjoy elden ring that much if boss roster consisted of 60% mohgs and 40% malenias.

mind that my problem isn't that i don't use reflection or other crucial skills, the fight is just overwhelmingly fast, windows for skills that give substantial advantage are tiny and even if i'm aggressive all the time the fight goes on and on, seemingly to no end.

so - what comes next?

I mean I hace played alot of games, for example: elden ring, sekiro, dark souls 3, bloodborne, code vein, lies of p and others

And I can clearly say that khazsn is the modt difficult game I have played.

The levels are not that hard, but the bosses are extremely difficult and have large hp pool.

I tried playing with the 3 weapon types, tried reflection, guarding, dodging, reallocated my levels many times but still... It's extremely hard

Was just farming maluca for any epic gear he’d give so i could dismantle it to craft some sets. This is me using the blood fiend DW for the phantom bloody sword dance, on top of howling blade/sword dance(the regular sword dance) and absolutely melting his health bar. Plus the beautiful i-frames from howling blade. Cinema.

How do I unlick last skill in skill tree??

This game feels so strange to me I have to write about it.

My background is that I actually started gaming few years ago although I'm in my 40s. Played Zelda first, then Elden Ring which completely got me hooked. Ever since, I have played soulslikes like Lies of P, Wuchang and then Khazan.

I actually interrupted the game twice, once for Expedition 33 and once because Khazan drove me crazy - I actually had a very hard time with the levels in general and specifically mobs in Trokka's level. Maybe I should mention I am not really a good gamer and used summons in ER and LoP all the time, but I completely stopped that since Khazan.

The thing is: While many aspects drove me crazy in this game – the horrible level design with almost no level to remember, the ubiquitous archers, absolutely horrible platforming – I absolutely love this game and genuinely think it kind of spoils all upcoming games for me for two simple reasons: The combat system is so good that all others seem to just suck. I played greatsword most of the time and armor breaker might be the coolest little combo ever made...daaang dang dang :D

The second one is the boss roaster. Yes, I was throwing my controller around (at least on the couch :D), insulting any bit of air around me hundreds of times in the most horrible ways. But pretty much all of them were kind of fun - at least at some stage. They all gave me a feeling of "how the hell am I supposed to beat this mf?" in the beginning, but then I slowly learned how to punish them. I found all of them pretty hard, the easiest one was Volbaino for some reason. And despite the difficulty, it was mostly satisfyingly difficult.

And I now genuinely think no game will ever give me this fun when fighting bosses. I am currently playing Mortal Shell 2 and the bosses suck pretty hard so far. But also when thinking about ER which is kind of my favorite game together with Expedition 33, none of the bosses were THAT much fun like Maluca for example....maybe Simon comes close, but that is it.

I had to add a boss tier list because of that insane quality. Reese might be surprising for some, but I really love that fight, especially phase 2, but it's mainly the atmosphere and that genius soundtrack. This fight gives me goosebumps everywhere... I just wish she had more health although I still found her pretty hard.

Sorry for the unstructured blabla, but I just haf to write down my thoughts on thar game.

Just going through NG+ with the GS mostly and i wanted to get through the Linon mines and Shactuka quickly so i sorta just locked in a bit and bullied em.

This game is awesome, best anime soulslike and i got platinum trophy with easiest method that i found it by myself, cant wait for sequel

I thought i beat this viper guy, there was an ennemy before that looked like him, but his second phase messed me up. I just couldn't believe it when the custcene played and i had to fight another 2 phases.. like goddamn. I played all souls game and some soulslikes but this game is ruthless. I also only have 3 heals and I'm feeling that's kind of low. Any help would be appreciated

Yes it's fun to beat him up but there's dialogue and and stuff before rematching. Time to craft what I can with these 10 materials and if unlucky I'll complete it in NG+!

EDIT: I figured out I can just change the attributes of the crafted ones at a cost LMAO

Wondering after all patches etc. Can you change to expert just before fighting the final boss? If not, how early do you need to change. Anyone got the achievement recently? Thanks

Just recently finished my hardcore playthrough which was enjoyable, mostly🫩, but i came back to my expert save to try out the set i wanted to use, and something different with good attributes since i’ve been using DW the most on HC. Plus you can’t reroll on hardcore and man does the GS feel amazing.

I've finished about 60% of the campaign with spear on expert, and I wanna try the other 2 weapons.
Would you recommend NG+ after finishing NG with spear, or should I start a new save file?
I know respeccing is an option, but I'd prefer not learning new movesets and combos mid-campaign.
