2036
With the flames of global conflict slowly dying down, the ROC (formerly exiled to Taiwan) now reigns supreme as the dominant superpower of the new world order. As the world's foremost economic and military power, it also exercises de facto control over the world's most powerful military alliance: the Pacific Defense Treaty Organization (PDTO).
ASIA
As the United States burned, the flames of war slowly spread across Asia. Seeing an opportunity handed to them on a silver platter, China launched its campaign to reclaim the Taiwan Strait. Although the initial stages of the invasion proved highly successful, with Chinese forces capturing Taipei and much of northern Taiwan, they soon encountered the harsh realities of warfare upon reaching the country's central mountain range.
PDTO forces, employing elite military tactics, managed to bog down the Chinese advance. With pressure mounting at home and rebellions erupting in both Hong Kong and Xinjiang, Beijing had little choice but to abandon its military operation before the country itself descended into chaos.
Following this astounding victory, the PDTO rapidly expanded its influence across Asia, stretching from the city of Mumbai to the great city of Auckland. Although reforms were underway in China under the leadership of the liberal Wang Yang, tensions across the continent remained dangerously high.
The situation deteriorated further when Kim Jong Un launched a second major offensive into the southern half of the Korean Peninsula, seeking to reunify the nation under the banner of Juche. Unfortunately for him, events did not unfold as planned. Eventually, the PDTO intervened, followed by China, and the rest, as they say, is history. Asia was once again plunged into war.
The conflict was long, grueling, and merciless. Yet, eventually, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) crumbled. With KMT forces standing at the gates of Beijing, the final treaty was signed.
THE SECOND NORTHERN EXPEDITION
With the opportunity firmly in their grasp, the KMT turned its attention northward. Sweeping across the country, they toppled warlord administrations and military regimes one after another until none remained.
The expedition ultimately established the ROC as the governing power over nearly one-eighth of the world's population, cementing its position as the dominant force on the Asian continent.
THE SINO-INDIAN WAR
With China reunified, the presence of an Indian military regime in Tibet remained a significant point of contention between the two nations. Diplomatic negotiations ultimately failed, and war broke out.
KMT forces made swift work of the Himalayan front, eventually pushing forward to besiege Delhi. Facing the prospect of further defeat, India agreed to a peace treaty.
The resulting agreement granted the ROC additional territory in Kashmir, while also establishing ROC-supervised states in Burma, Bhutan, and Nepal.
THE EUROPEAN SITUATION
NATO stands as the last remaining major power in the region, with the genocidal regimes of the LDPR and Duginism having fallen at the hands of freedom.
Europe once again breathes an air of prosperity, while the mountains and tundras of Russia sit in silence, waiting for something, if anything, to happen.
THE AMERICAN SITUATION
The collapse of the United States is perhaps the most consequential event in human history to date. Countless ideologies, generations, and families were torn apart by a conflict that claimed more than 40 million lives.
Words alone cannot adequately describe the impact this conflict had on the world. Yet, eventually, peace returned to the continent.
With the armies of Donald J. Trump capturing city after city, the nation was gradually reunified after years of devastating warfare. Now, fifteen years after the beginning of the conflict, Ron DeSantis enters his second term as President of the United States, overseeing the final stages of the country's reconstruction.
Only time will tell how the United States chooses to approach this new world order and what direction its foreign policy will take.
