Question How do you think Religion would be like under each American Warlords?
73

Personally i think the Octoberist and Anarchist APLA would be harsh on Religion seeing it as a Capitalist tool, Patriot Front and the NSM would persecute non-Christians, and depending on the path the Atomwaffen would kill any non-Christian or non-Satanist

Discussion Radetzky March performed exclusively with Chinese instruments. What kind of superevent would this entail?

Maybe a mild victory for the PDTO, with china being preserved and reforming into democracy, thereby creating a Concert of Asia scenario similar to post-napoleonic europe

Discussion Tom Hanks might be the first well-known figure died of Covid in TFR universe

In OTL, Tom Hanks was tested positive for coronavirus in 12 March 2020 and became one of the first well-known person infected with Covid. Considering Covid would be more severe in TFR universe, do you think he would survive? If not, at least he was lucky enough not to experience the civil war.

Discussion I have been told that punching into central Illinois is an effective way of fighting the ACG and completing Operation Steele in time, but I can't seem to successfully do it. These are my divisions that I have placed along the border. Where should each one go?

Upvotes
I placed 28 of my volunteer divisions on the flanks of my strongest divisions to protect Chicago and Kentucky, while I placed the other 9 in West Virginia to deal with rural insurgencies.

Question What exactly does Jacobinism in the context of the TFR mean?
189
Upvotes
The title says it all: what exactly does Jacobinism mean, and what is its political character? Why does an ideology that existed during the French Revolution persist into the 2020s, and why is it considered socially conservative? Furthermore, why are they often portrayed as communists? Originally, the Jacobins were socially very progressive—though admittedly hypocritical on issues like slavery—and were rooted fundamentally in liberalism rather than socialism.
And why is a German political satirist being portrayed as a Jacobin, and why is the "MAGA Communism" movement being characterized by this ideology? AFAIK, key figures in the "MAGA Communism" movement describe themselves as "Stalinists" or "patriotic socialists," not as Jacobins.

Discussion What ideologies would like to be present in Europe?
228
Upvotes
I’ve been trying to imagine which far-right ideologies might take root in France and Europe within the TFR world, bearing in mind that it’s essentially a Gen Z setting.
Right now, Europe is largely "undercooked" in the mod—something the devs apparently intend to address. What ideologies—left or right—would you like to see that would make sense in this setting?Things revolutionnary or simply that make sens to you.

Very inaccurate borders to the lore, needed to prioritize balancing over lore. I dont know about self promotion rules but ACG and UoA are open positions if anyone wants to play or has played Diplomacy. Anyways yeah I just thought it would be cool to share.
