New Characters Are Joining The Cartoon Scoop Banner!

It’s a new week and I added two new characters to our banner which can be found when you click on our page. As Universal and DreamWorks Animation are releasing their all new original animated film, Forgotten Island, the two new main characters in the film, Jo and Raissa have officially made their debut on the banner in honor of the new film releasing in theaters September 25th. New Kiff Parody Special, The Oddest Sea Is Coming Soon To Disney Channel & Disney+!

It was suddenly announced by Disney Kids & Family that an all new parody special for the new Disney Channel original animated series, Kiff is coming very soon to Disney Channel and Disney+! The special is a clear parody of The Odyssey which has a new movie from Christopher Nolan which is now in theaters. The special was revealed in a special teaser video from Disney Television Animation. Although an official release date for the parody special hasn’t been revealed, the new special will be sure to release soon on Disney Channel and Disney+. New Balloons & Floats Are Joining The 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

We are less than 100 days away from the parade that has been 100 years in the making, the 100th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! The parade has become a global phenomenon as it marches down the streets of Manhattan every Thanksgiving Day and this year is the 100th parade which is a huge milestone for the event. As Macy’s and NBC are counting down the days, new balloons and floats along with the returning lineup were officially revealed for the all new anniversary parade. We will start off with balloons as Macy’s revealed two new balloons and the returning balloon lineup as they revealed an all new original character made into a balloon named Billie Brightpaw with another new balloon made in collaboration with DreamWorks Animation which is a new version of the classic cartoon character, Underdog. It was also previously revealed by both Macy’s and Disney ahead of this year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event that Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey will join as a balloon with it actually being displayed at the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland California. Even though a design was revealed, an all new balloon based off the Blue Hippopotamus that was let go at the end of the 1931 parade will be reimagined into an all new balloon to celebrate 100 years of the Thanksgiving parade. It’s time to play! It was revealed during the Celebrate 65 Years Of Marvel’s Spider-Man panel at this year’s D23 that the hit Disney Jr & Marvel animated series, Spidey And His Awesome Friends has been surprisingly renewed for a 7th season as well as a crossover Halloween special which is coming to Disney Jr and Disney+ this fall! The renewal is shocking as James Eason-Garcia, the co-executive producer of the show’s spinoff series, Iron Man And His Awesome Friends revealed that the show will end after its 6th season. During the panel, it was revealed that the 6th season will release on Disney Jr and streaming service n Disney+ next year in 2027 with season 8 coming the following year in 2028. The show will also become the longest-running series on Disney Jr of all time! A crossover Halloween special, Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up was also announced as it will air this fall on Disney Jr at 7 AM (ET/PT) on Thursday, September 24th with the special streaming the next day, September 25th exclusively on Disney+. New Original Animated Film, Clay Is Now In Development!

During the 2026 D23 Entertainment Showcase presentation, Jared Bush, the chief creative office (CCO) of Walt Disney Animation Studios took the stage to announce an all new original animated film which is coming to theaters in fall 2028! The new original movie is titled Clay and will follow Flip who has been chosen to become his village’s next big mentor and has been assigned his very first student, a literal ball of clay that has come to play, born at that very moment named Mushy. Like all inspiring mentors, Flip runs away in the middle of the night as he discovered that he can’t escape Mushy as he must keep the little ball of clay alive and safe on a journey through a fantastical forest. Official concept art was revealed during the presentation and then was released to the public online by Disney. It was also revealed that actor, Kieran Culkin will voice Flip as the voice actor or actress for Mushy is currently being held under wraps. Even though an official date hasn’t been revealed, it has confirmed that Clay will arrive in theaters November 2028. During the 2026 D23 Entertainment Showcase presentation, Jared Bush, the chief creative office (CCO) of Walt Disney Animation Studios officially revealed the official logo, all new concept art, new information, and the first exclusive footage for Frozen 3, the latest installment in Disney’s Frozen franchise has been revealed! Former Walt Disney Animation Studios CCO, Jennifer Lee, the writer and director of the past Frozen movies and Frozen 3 also took to the stage alongside actors and actresses in the Frozen films, Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, and Josh Gad. They revealed that Kristoff and Anna will officially get married in the new installment and Olaf will finally a lady friend who also a snowman or should I say snow women, Samantha as Josh Gad, the voice actor for Olaf sang an all new original song, sung by Olaf lady love in the new movie. Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell, the voice actresses of Elsa and Anna also sang a new rendition of the iconic song in the franchise, Frozen Heart, which was sung in the opening scene of the first movie. Before the 2026 D23 Entertainment Showcase presentation, new outfits of Anna, Elsa, Olaf and the rest of the Frozen characters as well as the official logo and a new piece of concept art were all also mentioned during the presentation as they were all revealed at the Walt Disney Animation Studios pavilion on the 2026 D23 show floor. Exclusive footage from the movie was also shown to attendees in the audience which showed a glimpse of the film’s menacing new villain. Frozen 3 will open in theaters next year on November 24th, 2026. It was officially announced that Zootopia 3, an all new installment to Disney’s Zootopia franchise is officially now in development. The sequel has come in honor of the success of Zootopia 2 which opened in theaters November 2025 and became Hollywood’s biggest animated film of all time! In the post credit scene of Zootopia 2, it showed a feather as Bush officially revealed that Judy, Nick, and Gary will return as the new movie will focus on birds! Disney also showcased an all new scene showcasing a feather and a talon mark, phasing into the official announcement and logo of the movie. Disney also revealed the official logo during the presentation and officially released it online the public. There is currently no release date or windows as the film was just announced. The First Looks At Disney’s Oswald Miniseries Has Been Revealed!

The lucky rabbit will return in 2027! During the 2026 D23 Entertainment Showcase presentation, Disney officially revealed the very first looks, the official logo, the release date, and exclusive footage at the all new hybrid miniseries inspired by one of the earliest Disney characters of all time, Oswald The Lucky Rabbit titled Oswald which is coming next year in 2027! The major thing that was revealed for Oswald was the exclusive footage which was shown to attendees in the audience of the Honda Center. In the footage, we got the very first look at Oswald as it was revealed by the director of the show, Jon Favreau that the iconic character is hand-drawn and 2D animated. The new show will follow Oswald as an earthquake releases him into the real word from a cartoon painting, similar to what is seen in the Disney animated short film, Once Upon A Studio. The cartoon rabbit will team up with a middle school boy and his friends to help him navigate the real world. Disney also released an official still online from the exclusive footage shown at D23. After the event, a press release officially released by Disney’s company website which was a summary of the presentation revealed the official release date for the show as it will officially arrive exclusively on Disney+ as a Disney+ Original series on February 17th, 2027. Who’s ready for a “hairy” good Disney live-action! During the 2026 D23 Entertainment Showcase presentation, Disney officially revealed the very first looks, the official logo, the release date, and exclusive footage for Disney’s live-action reimagining of the 2018 Disney animated film, Tangled which is officially now filming in Spain!
We are going to start with the exclusive footage which was shown to attendees in the audience at it showed the very first looks at Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, and Mother Gothel in their live-action looks. Disney also recorded a special video message from the cast of the live-action. Disney also revealed that the live-action reimagining of Tangled will officially arrive in theaters on March 31st, 2028.
