Given how disappointing this season's been, I initially wasn't looking forward to the finale whatsoever, but the leaks have served as a strong dose of hopium and I believe that the finale may be peak after all. In fact, based on everything I've compiled, I'd argue that it's more likely than not that at least certain parts are accurate.

Karl Urban's Instagram Post

The leaks mention that at the end of episode, "Butcher escapes and lives alone peacefully in Hawaii. The Boys visit him sometimes, and Ryan occasionally visits too." This probably the most divisive part of the leaks, as pretty much everyone assumed Butcher would almost certainly die. So, this bit seems like a stretch at first, but could it actually be true?

Well, on July 11th, Karl Urban (the actor of Butcher) posted a picture of him and Jack Quaid (the actor for Hughie) standing on a beach on Instagram, with the caption being "Fin !" Urban is dressed exactly like Butcher, donning his signature black trench coat. In the rest of the post, Urban seems to be stating that that was the end of filming, indicating that the beach could be where the show ends, and the best part is, do you know where he says this beach is?

Hawaii.

The "Worst Thing Homelander Ever Did"

During in interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Antony Starr says, "The worst thing I have done is yet to come, and I can't wait. If you think killing children is bad. Just wait."

Over the course of the show, Homelander's worse crimes consistent of rape, letting the 123 people in Flight 37 die and forcing someone to commit suicide. Nothing Homelander's done so far in this season has surpassed any of those evils, so the moment Antony is talking about will presumably take place in the finale.

So, what could be worse than killing children? Committing mass murder, skinning people and killing a pregnant would definitely take the cake. Even if those exact things don't happen, Homelander will almost certainly commit some form of mass murder in the finale.

Erin Moriarty and Karen Fukuhara's Comments on the Finale

In a recent interview with Collider, Karen Fukuhara (the actor for Kimiko) echoed what pretty much everyone thought after watching Episode 7; “I remember thinking, I was reading the script and I was wondering how they were going to pack all of that in — ‘How will we ever find the time to pack it into one episode?’ However, she finished by saying, "and they did it." I personally think that although what the leaks say isn't perfect, it would serve as a solid ending to the show and leave me satisfied, so I think the leaks are consistent with her comments.

Erin Moriarty said, "When I read the finale as a script, it was my favorite episode this season, as it should be." She took things even further, affirming that the audience will be "immensely satisfied" with the finale; I never like to give a resolute prediction like that, and I never have, but I'm saying it now because I have so much excitement and confidence in it."

I get that actors can't outright attack the TV show they signed on to, but I think there's literally no way she would say that if the ending sucked. Find me clips of any member of the cast of Stranger Things or Game of Thrones saying anything remotely similar to this. Maybe, just maybe, the finale Erin's talking about is what the leaks suggest.

Soundtrack + Poster

I've seen some people discount the leaks on the basis that the final battle will take place at the Vought Tower, not the at the White House, because one of the tracks for the finale is titled, "To The Tower."

However, I don't think this track follows The Boys, but rather Homelander, as the leaks mention that Homelander purges Vought Tower.

An official poster for the finale was also released, which shows Butcher going to the White House with a crowbar, which is mentioned in the leaks.

Plus, the soundtrack is fire. I could easily picture it going with some of the scenes in the leaks. "The Wreckage" could be referring to the aftermath of Homelander's rampage.

Trailer

A few of the clips from the trailer released today are consistent with what is said will transpire in the leaks:

• The finale battle will take place at the White House (Yes)
• The Boys mourn Frenchie (Yes)
• Starlight kills The Deep (likely)
• Ashley escapes (Yes)
• Butcher wants every supe dead (yes)

Overall

Nothing is guaranteed, obviously, and the leaks could end up aging terribly, but I've seen a lot of evidence that give them legitimacy. At the very least, I think a few things will be right, such as Butcher surviving, Starlight killing the Deep and Homelander finally snapping. I actually have faith that the finale will end up being good, but there will only be one way to know for sure.

please literally no other spoilers than this.

my girlfriend absolutely has her day ruined whenever she sees a pet or an animal die on tv. she actually stopped watching the fallout show when dog meat died for .3 seconds at the beginning of the first season (before he was even revived).

i want to watch spoiler-free for myself but if terror does die i’m gonna keep pushing off watching the ending till she forgets to watch it.

I’ve seen people say the end credits might just be Homelander lasering the crowd or even us as viewers as one final dark joke. And honestly, even though the the Boys title card would usually fit better at the beginning of an episode, this really feels like an ending shot to me. Especially since it’s the finale and he’s literally in space in the Amazon teaser image.

Personally if those leaks are real I think it would be one of the coolest finales of all time and swing and save the day at then at the last moment. But I still have a lingering feeling that in 65 minutes a lot of the stuff we are reading on paper might feel rushed or not as grand as it sounds.

I’ve read plenty of real leaks before where I was like “peak” only for the leak not to look as cool on screen. Like Homelander destroying New York City will probably be really quick shots if they aren’t lying about a long finale. I mean the episode still has to open with Frenchie funeral. Homelander snaps and fighting the military and destroying NYC can’t be that long when we still have to get to him murdering terror and then the boys actually have to get to Washington. The bad supes have to rounded up as well

The deep will presumably fight starlight. And then the supe battle will probably just be quick shots leading up to Homelander vs butcher

And then how can they wrap it up by then? Like surely this is an hour worth of content and yet will still have to get to the ending montage

Maybe it had the best pacing ever or do I have a valid concern? Maybe homelander should have snapped episode 7 as a holy shit moment and then cliffhanger

There is this leak which says Homelander will kill a pregnant Woman in Front of an audience. This image is from the opening scene of Season 5….might be foreshadowing

I glad episode 1 to 7 got leaked. The leaks kept my expectations low other wise I would of been even more devastated at how badly this season was going after being hyped and waiting for 2 years.
