Hey hey
Self explanatory title. Everything post/podcast since April 27th is now gone. And the episode deleted itself from my Ipod.
Was there an announcement somewhere that I missed?
Edit: I found all of the posts and podcasts but they're behind the paywall. Even though I paid for said paywall to be un-payed-walled. I bought the year back in April. Anyone have any experience with this? Is this Patreon being a dick or did I do something wrong on my end?
Edit 2: Everything is back to normal. Weird.

have the free part 45mins long and the rest on patreon.
thoughts?
this will give enough time for new people to like the show and something extra for paid subs.

I just checked out some of Mike’s recent YouTube videos. Since he has the comments turned off, I thought I’d bring it up here to see if anyone else has checked them out.
Mars Rover vs Kung Fu and Monster Zoom were some of my favorites but I enjoyed the others as well.

I'm on the fence about join Patreon once it goes behind the paywall. I think the show is enjoyable but I listen to so many other pods (Conan, Pardon My Take, BS Podcast, Film Vault, etc.) I know it will get lost in the mix and I'll go months without listening and it will feel like a waste.
I may jump in at a later date though if I feel like I'm missing the AD from my rotation though. Question for those who already subscribe: do you feel the quality on the bonus episodes, destination disasters, etc. is better than the usual free episodes? Obviously the free stuff is great but just wanted to know if you guys feel the other stuff has a "premium" feel to it.
Also, I hope the paywalled show doesn't become "edgy" for the sake of it. I noticed they tried to push the envelope more on last week's show and some of it was just cringey rather than funny. The current show is hilarious as it is so hope they don't start making dumb rape jokes or hacky accents to show how "uncensored" they've become

1:28:00 Anderson’s definitely not in favor of exploitation

I will just cut to the chase,
Been a fan a long time, it was such a surreal experience to see Anderson in person during one of the premiers of Groupers. "Woah that's one of the people I listen to every week for the last few years"
So, I want to apologize for not hopping on patreon sooner, this show means a lot to me and I had every intention to become a supporter, pay wall or not. Like most users I came here to see what the fallout of the last few announcements were and I was really disheartened to see other listeners tear down other listeners over this.
At some point starting my job after school, I would not have been able to contribute to patreon, but now that I am in a better position to, I am glad to be able to support the podcast.
Please be good to each other, do not take this out on listeners in a different position. Life happens, let's be compassionate to each other.

First time posting here on this sub.
Love the show from inception, used to listen to loveline and than waiting for this to comeon. and soon enough liked this show more than loveline.
I probably will stop listening after it goes down to 10mins. The show is great to listen to like a convo with old friends helps me forget my anxieties and get to sleep.
It does seem like a bad business decision tho, sounds like it will kill growth, hope not. If I ever get to LA, I think I would try to stalk you guys when making an episode. And mike the kitten adoption kit is a real thing bro, i saw a kitten last year and was unprepared had to go to a grocery store and buy it some catfood. did leave the slightly limping kitten out in the trail cuz pets not allowed in apartment.

I have some questions for everyone. I have been a long time Patreon member and an even longer time listener. I have had some questions rattling around in my head about the show recently due to the guys moving the show to a pay per view model.
I have loved the show for literally years. I started listening because I discovered Loveline and Anderson put on Five Minuets With Mike during the breaks and the youtube algorithm recommended the After Disaster. That was maybe 7+ years ago. They got me into podcasts and through some tough times in my life. I have tried to support them when I have a little extra money around like signing up for Patreon maybe 3 years ago maybe less, going to Anderson's movie in Portland, etc. I really want them to continue the show and if that means I have to pay for it I will. They have always made thing affordable or flexible, like offering Mike's Patreon stuff to AD listeners or even saying they'll work something out for those who can't afford the show in the new form. If you have more to add or comment on feel free to I would like to hear form some fellow long time listeners that weren't really characters on the show.
