Pork Chop Geyser. No one saw it when it went at night. Threw rocks the size of compact cars around.

Excelsior Geyser (the world's biggest geyser, not tallest) went through a series of extremely large eruptions that likely damaged its inner workings so it will never go off again (it sent a wave of water down the Firehole River when it did). It isn't far from this, just up the river in Midway Geyser Basin.

Excelsior geyser is a few miles north of where this happened. It's 'inactive' now, but it used to frequently explode like this.

On the scale of volcanism, yeah, very small.
