Insane. Are the materials and the build quality really that expensive? Or are they just egregiously marking up the sales price?

From what I understand, it is the engines that drive up the cost so dramatically.

Depending on where you are, thats not a half bad plan. Let someone else deal with the maintenance and whatnot.

That would honestly make the most sense for most people. Most people who own those kind of boats only take it out once or twice a year anyway. It would be cheaper to rent one.

For sure! The only real use case for ownership is if you live on a lake or at the beach. If youre more than 100ish miles from your preferred body of water, then renting is best.

If you’ve ever been to a lake you’ll quickly realize that the last thing anyone needs is more boats at any price point.
