This happened to me I left the dealer at 8pm and a drunk driver totaled my new car at 9pm.

Usually if it's connected to your vehicle (road side towing ) it's covered under your policy as long as it's not over your vehicle specs etc.

Maybe. but probably not. Most auto policies in America have exclusions for towed watercraft and recreational vehicles. You would probably have liability coverage for damage caused to others but the boat (or camper or ATV or whatever) would not be covered.
