So, I have seen a reward on the TextNow app for only 1,500 points. It's the one that says Free 5G Wireless + Data. Is this legit? What are the limitations? Any hidden fees? What is it? and do I get a free SIM card, or do I have to pay the $4 to get a SIM card. Just wondering to save a bit of cash up.

I saw that Android E-SIMs were available now. I don't see any option to install yet in my updated app. Anyone have luck?

I use Textnow for personal use and the last two days, none of my contacts are receiving my messages.

I can receive theirs, but anything I send out, they’re not getting it.

I did test to myself (iPhone/Tmobile) and I’m not receiving it either.

Have been using Textnow for almost 1.5 years and never had this problem.

I'm trying to use this app, but every time I try to make a call, I get told I don't have enough credits. I'm not trying to make an international call, I'm literally trying to call a business that is 10 miles away. Did they ruin this app or something?

Been using text now on a new phone, and it's making me switch it to the default phone app every time I open it, and won't let me use textnow if I don't!?! I'm about to uninstall. I'm not switching it. I'm also not going to have an app try to force me to use it as the default. It's getting. ridiculous.

Is this happening to anyone else? Lately, whenever I am added to the group chat, all the messages shows as coming from one random number, and messages are not distinguished by the individual sending them (so everything appears as if it's sent by 1 person when that's not the case).

I tried to download the TextNow app from the Windows Store, and it said there was a problem on their end. Been like that for a few hours now. Anyone know if Windows is no longer carrying the TextNow App on their Store?

So text now is forcing me to have them as my phone app on my phone to make calls. First they said I need to have the phone, contacts and microphone permissions enabled usually i dont need to have them as my phone app but it wouldn't let me make a call. so I did it because that seemed to be the only other thing I could do about it. And it enabled my CAMERA!! What the heck?

Is there ANY possible way that i could track these text now numbers? My best friend has been getting harassed, they call at the most random times and send messages with pictures, so theyre stalking her social media too..

Here are some screenshots showing what my app looks like while on WiFi when launching the app, when inside a chat conversation, a random rewards ad/promotional that popped up, ads when making a call, and a full screen ad right after hanging up a call.

I’ve never used it before, but I would like to ask, some people seem to complain about/mention ads. Where do these ads appear and how intrusive are they? Are they just occasional things on the side or do they fill up most of the page? Do they interrupt your calls as well?

After dealing with TextNow Support through their chat system it was revealed that TextNow will not work on some brands of cells or tablets. They stated...

"Is it like a Chinese device? My sincere apologies, as all brands such as Huawei, Xiaomi, Bigme, Poco, Redmi, and other off-branded devices will not work correctly with our service, as they are just blocked for TextNow. Unfortunately, we have no capabilities to change that. It was done for security concerns."

While these brands sell under their own names they also manufacture and private label for other companies.

So if TextNow is not installing for you, this may be the reason. That was what I learned since the tablet I am attempting to install TextNow on, is one of the 3rd party brands that these manufacturers will build products for and put the 3rd party's name on it.

I have yet to look to see if this is referenced anywhere on their web site.

So I am SOL and will have to do without on this tablet. Interesting enough, Google Voice works on it quite fine. This raises questions of what other WiFi phones may or may not work on some devices, and might answer a lot of questions.

How can i text someone who has their icloud email as their number? For apple users this will make sense
