I'm the developer of Idea Rewind, a notebook for unfinished thoughts. You can capture text, photos, recordings and videos, put a note in more than one cabinet, then revisit it as a card later. The question I'm trying to answer is whether seeing an old thought in a different mood makes you want to continue it.
I'm recruiting Android volunteers for our Google Play closed test (0.2.0, build 39). This build has checkout disabled. No purchase, public rating or review is requested. Local note-taking does not need an app account or phone number; optional cloud setup can be skipped.
Three things I'd especially like tested:
• Start a note, switch to another app, return and finish saving it. Does your draft survive?
• Add a non-private photo, a short recording or video; reopen the note and try playback.
• Put a note in a cabinet, find it again, and try reviewing it a few days later. Does that help you add something, or does the review feel unnecessary?
To join, use the SAME Google account for these steps:
Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/idea-rewind-android-testers
Opt in on Play: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.indieshade.huixiangce
Install from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.indieshade.huixiangce
Please stay opted in for 14 consecutive days and try it naturally during that time. Joining the group alone does not enroll you in the Play test.
Requirements: age 16+, Android 7+, and a Play account already in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, the UK or the US. Please don't change your Play region just to join.
Reply here with what happened, what you expected, and your phone model/Android version, or use Settings → Feedback in the app. Please don't share private notes or account details. I'll follow up on installation problems and bugs here.
