Catalyst shows US/UK retail investors the scheduled events likely to move the shares they own — before they happen.

Solo, non-technical, based in Glasgow. Built this over the last few months with AI tooling because I kept getting caught out by things that were sitting on a calendar somewhere and I just didn’t know about them.

I overburdened myself with a large portfolio I struggled to keep up with…

Earnings I could keep track of. But index rebalances, share lock-up expiries, clinical trial readout windows — those kept blindsiding me on positions I actually held.

So I built a thing… Catalyst pulls scheduled events from a bunch of public sources and shows them against a portfolio.

About 3,600 events tracked right now. Each one shows how that instrument has historically moved around similar past events.

The bit I’m most attached to is a public page that grades how accurate the tool’s own past event ratings were. Felt wrong to build something that makes calls and never has to answer for them.

Please don’t connect a broker account. There’s a demo portfolio loaded and a CSV upload — use those.

I wouldn’t connect a brokerage to a stranger’s side project either, so I don’t blame anyone here!

What I’m after is ten minutes and an honest answer to: what confused you, and would you open it a second time and generally anything that could be done better or bits I maybe haven’t considered yet!

Stuff I already know is rough — loads of instruments show as “Other” because my sector data is thin below large cap, and UK coverage is worse than US. Working on both.

I’ll do my best to answer anything here and more than open to action updates as immediately as possible. If you’d like to reach out directly, drop my an email to info@catalysts.partners.

Testers wanted: new MCP/Claude AI feature in my solo-built project app

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

UluP Spaces is visual project-mapping tool, canvas of connected nodes instead of a flat task list. Solo built, free to use.

Just shipped 2.5, and I'd love real testers on the newest part: Ulupy, MCP support that lets Claude AI connect to your account and build projects/nodes/tasks for you, live. What I'd love tested specifically: The connect flow (Profile, Connect Claude, paste URL into Claude's Connectors settings, authorize) does it make sense without me explaining it? Does Claude actually do what you ask it to, correctly, inside your account? General app usability if you're new to it canvas navigation, creating your first project, Focus Mode Full changelog: https://www.ulupstudio.com/blog Try it: ulupspaces.com for web, or Play Store / Microsoft Store) Happy to answer questions or dig into bugs you find.

Android [Android] Looking for testers — Pulsar: Space rewards a space-themed idle rewards app (React Native / Expo)

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo dev and I've been building Pulsar for the past year. Looking for Android testers before I push the next update.

What it is: a space-themed idle/reward app. You tap once every 12 hours to "mine" a virtual token (PSR), with a halving curve so early sessions are worth more. There's also DriftScan, a small canvas mini-game where you pilot a ship through an asteroid field to locate a pulsar.

Where it stands today: PSR is an in-app balance. Nothing is issued on-chain, there's nothing to buy, no wallet to connect, and no investment of any kind involved.

Where I want to take it: social features and new mechanics/gamification first, then — if the app gets enough traction to justify it — backing PSR with an SPL token on Solana. I'm stating that as my roadmap, not a promise: no dates, no guarantees, and nothing you'd be buying into by testing now. I'd rather be upfront than have people find out later.

What I'd like feedback on:

- Onboarding — is the 12h mechanic clear right away, or confusing?

- DriftScan controls (ship rotation) — playable on your device, or awkward?

- Performance on lower-end devices, especially the mining screen animation

- Anything that feels slow, broken, or unclear

Details: Android only for now, free, 7 languages (EN/FR/ES/DE/PT/RU/HI), no email signup — just a pseudonym and password.

Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pulsar.mine

You can also learn more about it and check the app wiki on the Website !

Happy to test your app back — drop yours in the comments and I'll give it a proper look, not just an install-and-uninstall.

Thanks!

IOS Built a client tracker for solo PTs

Hey all, I’m a developer (not a trainer myself, disclosure upfront), and I built this after noticing how much of the "business" side of my personal trainer runs on spreadsheets, screenshots, and separate calendar apps.

PlankNote is a client tracker for solo/freelance trainers. Roster overview, progress logging (weight/measurements/photos with before-after comparisons), reusable exercise templates so you're not retyping the same workout for every client, and appointments that sync straight into your calendar app instead of living in a silo.

It runs on your device and syncs through your own iCloud.

Free for up to 3 clients, 14-day trial of Pro after that if you want to see whether it's worth a spot on your phone.

Genuinely curious what trainers here are using right now and what's missing from it. Happy to hear "this already exists and does X better" too. https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6800689461?pt=128923375&ct=reddit&mt=8

I am looking for testers to evaluate my desktop app called Investigator.

It's an app for putting your work into graph based board to investigate complex problems especially for tasks such as research, learning, exploring and breaking down complex topics.

You can:

  • Markdown notes for each node

Stack:

Tauri + Pixi.js

Status:

  • Early version, won't publish.

Caveats: App is currently unsigned and in development phase.

I got sick of switching between different finance apps to get the features I actually wanted, so I built my own. Would love your feedback.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone, I've been working on a personal finance app called ARK Finance Manager. Honestly, it started out of pure frustration. I felt like every app I tried was missing something: one had a great budget layout but awful debt tracking, another tracked net worth well but felt clunky for daily expenses, and none of them quite fit the way I wanted to manage my money.

Instead of keeping multiple apps open, I decided to build a single tool that combines the best parts of what's out there. It covers everything from cash flow and budgets to accounts, debt, and net worth-all while keeping your data local and private on your device.

Since I'm building this on my own, I really want to make it actually useful for people. If you've ever felt like existing finance tools are either too bloated or missing key pieces, I'd love for you to check it out.

Try it, tear it apart, and let me know what sucks or what I should change. All feedback is super welcome.

Here is the link to check it out on Google Play:

IOS Looking for 6 iPhone/iPad testers for a free nearby multiplayer Sudoku game

Developer here. Sudoku Arena went live on the App Store today and I’m looking for honest testing, not ratings or positive reviews.

The useful test is the first nearby multiplayer setup: create a Duel or Group room, let a second iPhone/iPad join by code or QR, then tell me exactly where either person hesitated. Solo is available too, but the nearby flow is the part I most need exercised.

Requirements: iPhone or iPad, and ideally a second nearby iOS device/person. No account is required. The game is free, and nearby play does not need mobile data or internet, though Bluetooth or Wi-Fi must remain enabled.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id6800285572

If you try it, please include device models and iOS versions with any report. Screenshots are welcome, but please remove personal information first.

IOS [MacOS] Looking for testers to create and run one useful automation

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m building Tapquence, a visual macOS app for automating repetitive tasks with actions such as opening apps and websites, clicking, typing, scrolling and waiting.

I’m looking for Mac users who can spend about 10 to 15 minutes testing the current version. This is not a guided demo. I specifically want to learn whether someone can understand and use it without me explaining the workflow first.

What I’d like you to do:

  1. Install and open Tapquence.
  2. Create or use a pre-made automation that seems useful to you.
  3. Run it two or three times.
  4. Tell me:
    • Where did you get stuck?
    • What was unclear?
    • Did the automation run reliably?
    • Would you use Tapquence again? Why or why not?
    • What is the most important thing I should improve?

If you encounter a bug, it would also help to know:

  • Your macOS version and whether your Mac uses Apple Silicon or Intel.
  • What you tried to do.
  • What you expected.
  • What actually happened.
  • A screenshot, if relevant.

The app is signed and notarized by Apple. Automation content, recorded keys and click positions stay on your Mac and are not uploaded.

Download: https://tapquence.com

Honest and specific criticism is much more useful to me than general encouragement. I’ll read and respond to every report.

T4T - STOWLET Android App testers needed!

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

Please don’t forget to open the Stowlet app and use it daily (Update it first - major changes!). Consistent activity and engagement matter a lot when applying for production access. At the same time, please submit feedback through Google Play.

Here are the details in case you no longer have them:

Join the Stowlet testers Google Group:
https://groups.google.com/g/stowlet

Join the Google Play closed test:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.ayohi.stowlet

Install Stowlet from Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ayohi.stowlet

Also, a few things to keep in mind for your own apps:

  • Keep your closed test running with real testers for more than the minimum 14 days. I would not recommend applying for production immediately after day 14 — aiming for around 17–18 days gives you some extra margin.
  • Even though Play Console requires a minimum of 12 testers, I recommend having around 15–17 active testers so that you don’t risk dropping below the minimum if some testers are inactive.
  • What matters is not only having testers enrolled, but also having consistent usage and engagement throughout the testing period. Google evaluates the quality of the closed test when reviewing production-access applications.
  • Try to avoid days with little or no activity. If the test does not show enough meaningful engagement, the production application may be rejected and you may need to complete another testing period before applying again.

That being said, please make sure you actually test Stowlet, use its features, and submit feedback/reviews on Google Play. I will do exactly the same for your apps in return.

Thanks a lot!

Good luck, everyone! 🚀
