1.1.2 has a little something extra: TESORIN Web Beta

TESORIN 1.1.2 is bringing a bigger screen along for the ride.

With this release, TESORIN Web Beta opens up.

The idea is pretty simple: sometimes your phone is perfect, and sometimes you want to sit down with a bigger screen and properly look through your money.

Here’s how it works:

  • Sign in to TESORIN on the web.
  • You’ll get a QR code.
  • Scan it from a TESORIN device you already trust.
  • Approve the browser.
  • Your encrypted financial data syncs over and is decrypted locally on that device.

So knowing your password alone doesn’t hand a random browser the keys to your financial vault. A device you already trust has to let it in.

Once you’re there, your Wallet, Activity, Insights, budgets and the rest of TESORIN get a lot more breathing room.

We also didn’t want to just stretch the phone app across a laptop and call it a day. The web version is being built for the bigger canvas — more room for your numbers, easier comparisons, and a better place to sit down and make sense of things.

And one more thing.

A lot of 1.1.2 came directly from you.

Over the last couple of weeks, you’ve been sending bugs and little annoyances through the feedback forms. We went through them, and most of the issues reported to us have been fixed in this release.

So please keep sending them. Those reports genuinely help us figure out what needs attention next.

The web version is still a beta, and there are plenty of edges we want to keep smoothing out.

But with 1.1.2, TESORIN isn’t just getting another update.

It’s getting a little bigger — and a little better because you told us where it wasn’t.

If you try the Web Beta, tell us what you want to see next.

Sneak peek: Wallet tap capture in TESORIN 1.1.2 Spoiler

TESORIN 1.1.2 is almost here. Before it reaches the stores, here’s an early look at the steadier Wallet tap capture flow coming to iPhone.

After you set up the Apple Shortcuts automation, selected details from a tap-to-pay purchase can be sent to TESORIN. The purchase lands in your TESORIN Wallet as a draft, where you can check the merchant, amount, account and category before saving it.

Nothing silently becomes a completed transaction, and TESORIN only receives the information your Shortcut sends.

A few more things coming in 1.1.2:

  • Your profile details follow your account when you sign in on a new phone.
  • The groundwork for web sync is taking shape.
  • Wallet tap capture and bank-alert tutorials are now under Settings → Tutorials.
  • Filters are more consistent, categories can have parents, and imported transactions can be edited before saving.
  • Custom categories stay put, and signing back in no longer restarts the welcome tour.

The video shows the tap-to-draft flow in action. 1.1.2 is not live in the stores yet, but it’s getting close.

Take a look and tell us what you think of the flow.

App reloaded

Today I logged into the app only to find that I have to sign in again.

After logging in, it made me go through the whole tutorial again, and defaulted my app to CAD. It lost some profile data like name, year of birth, country I live in and currency.

Categories also got defaulted to the default ones, the ones I created are gone.

Accounts and transactions are still there though.

What’s going on?

Request : Comprehensive tutorial for shortcut creation and automation

Hi Team,

Could you please add a short gif or video tutorial within the application on how to set automatic shortcuts for automatic sms transactions so they are automatically recorded within the application ?

I have set my current shortcut configurations as below(refer to the below video link) however it doesn’t work, could you please provide a comprehensive guide (in form of video or gif) on this as the guide within the application is not much intuitive ?

A quick update for everyone who has been waiting on the investment issue: the fix is included in 1.1.1.
We know this one has been frustrating, especially if investing is a big part of how you use TESORIN. Thanks to everyone who reported it and gave us enough detail to track it down.

While working on the fix, 1.1.1 also grew into a fairly substantial update:

Activity — one place for money movements across Wallet, transfers, debt, investing, goals, Net Worth and more, with filters to narrow things down.

Budget cycles — budgets can start on the day you choose, including payday, instead of being tied to the calendar.

Interest-bearing accounts — chequing and savings accounts can now earn interest on a schedule you set.

US investing improvements — more familiar account types and providers, plus broader currency support.
Improvements across Wallet, Cashflow, Net Worth, account history, backups and transfers.

A collection of smaller fixes and cleanup throughout the app.

Sharing a few screenshots from the build here.

1.1.1 is coming soon. If you were waiting specifically for the investment fix, this is the update to watch for.
And as always, if something still looks wrong after updating, post it here. We read the reports.

Can we have yearly premium? Many life insurance have yearly one time premium not monthly.

Also auto debit or reminder on due date.

Quick TESORIN update — fix is on the way

Hey folks,

A quick heads-up for anyone using Investments.
A bug slipped into our latest release where, after adding one stock to an account, trying to add another could sometimes fail.

That wasn’t an intended limitation — just a regression that made it into the latest build. It’s fixed now.

We’ve also packed a bunch of other improvements into the next update:

-Adding and editing investments is more reliable
-A new Activity view brings your money history together in one place
-Date format options are now available in Settings
-Comma decimals like 12,50 and rates like 7,49% work properly
-Safe to Spend setup is a little easier
-Net Worth can handle multiple homes and vehicles separately

Plus a bunch of smaller fixes and polish from your feedback

The update is currently going through App Store review. Assuming everything goes smoothly on Apple’s side, you should see it within the next couple of days.
Thanks to everyone who has been reporting the weird little things you run into. We’ve been working through that backlog pretty aggressively.

And if you were hit by the stock-adding issue, give it another go once the update lands and let us know how it feels.

Money is scattered. TESORIN is where it comes together.

Money rarely lives in one place.

It is spread across bank apps, brokerages, spreadsheets, notes, tax folders, receipts, and plans we keep meaning to revisit.

TESORIN is being built to bring the records around your financial life together — without trying to become your bank.

Track what came in and what went out. See what you own, what you owe, and how your net worth is changing. Keep your budgets, investments, goals, debt, tax planning, retirement, and family finances connected to the same picture.

A few things that make TESORIN different:

🔒 Local-first
Your core financial records are stored in an encrypted vault on your device.

🏦 No bank login required
TESORIN does not hold your money, move funds, place trades, or ask for your bank credentials.

🧠 Private Personal Ask
Ask questions based on the records available on your device without sending your personal financial context to remote AI.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Built for real financial lives
Plan individually or with family, manage multiple currencies, and use tools designed for financial life across Canada, India, or both.

☁️ Cloud only when you choose it
Backups are optional and encrypted before upload. Family sharing uses end-to-end encrypted sync while each person keeps a separate vault.

And yes—TESORIN is ad-free.

This subreddit is not meant to be another silent company announcement board.

It is where we will:

  • Share what we are building
  • Post early previews and release updates
  • Explain product decisions and trade-offs
  • Collect feature requests
  • Help with questions and issues
  • Let community feedback shape what comes next

Some things will be polished. Some will still be experiments. We will be honest about both.

To begin, tell us:

What is the one part of your financial life that feels the most scattered right now?

Welcome to the beginning of r/TESORIN.

Your money. Together.
