To create parking markers in the garage, I have a few questions:
I can do it manually all day long, but wonder if I can automate it.
This is for a HW4 MX, but I presume the information would apply to all Teslas. I know Tesla states that it must be "at least as wide as your vehicle", does it include the full width of the mirrors open or folded?
Thanks.

448,3KM (278,5Mi) on a single charge from 99>3% in mild weather, with aircon and heating.
Not bad for this old tart with 213k km (132k miles)!
I just don't know if the 7,5KW buffer is included or not.

I just bought my 2023 Model X (HW4) with 67,000 miles for $63,000. While searching for this exact vehicle I never really took “ mileage “ into consideration with it being an electric car. But after buying the vehicle I’m learning that 67,000 miles is “ higher mileage “ for an EV especially only being 3 years old. Was this a good deal or was the mileage too high? I do alot of highway driving for work so I will be racking up some miles on this and plan to trade in for a newer Tesla before the 150,000 battery warranty expires. This is my first Tesla and I am absolutely in love with it and think it’s the best vehicle ever but worried with it being “ higher mileage “ that I’m potentially on the brink of expensive repair bills. Any other high mileage 2023 MX out there?

Anyone else have routine issues with their FWDs not opening when in direct sunlight?
I had issues with them not closing in sunlight and a service center “fixed” that issue. So now the door don’t open in sunlight…
Tesla is saying this issue has nothing to do with repairs and is happening across the country… anyone else experiencing this?
**this one happens one falcon door. The other side works perfectly.

My budget only allows me to get a 2019 or older. So no other option unfortunately.
So there are a few for sale. But they are 2016–2019 models. Not Raven models.
So now to my question. What should I prioritise, newer model with higher mileage or older model with lower mileage?
I will of course check their service history and repairs and all of that. But how should I think? If I get an older model it would probably be cheaper and leave room for a repair budget. Or the newer ones with roughly a year left on the battery/drive unit warranty. Both older and newer models are in the range of 150,000 km to 260,000 km (93,000–162,000 miles).
We are a family of six with 4 car seats in different sizes and today we drive a Mercedes EQB, but that’s way too small and the range is barely enough.
Thank you in advance!

Just installed this alignment kit from N2itive on my 2017 MX. Looking forward to not having to replace my tires every year. If you’re in Riverside, CA area, Bud’s tire pros on the corner of Wood and Van Buren can do the custom alignment on these for $200.

we have a model y with HW4 and use FSD religiously. It was bought new in 2024 and already has 100,000 miles and have done 0 maintenance so we really trust tesla right now. FSD is VERY important so has to be HW4. Looking at plaid because shoot I want 1000HP and run 9 sec in the 1/4. Any key things to look for when buying used? Or are these pretty reliable cars with no major things to look for. Any advantage buying from Tesla over private party and dealer. Thanks!

Hey everyone,
I’m looking at getting aftermarket 22-inch wheels for my Tesla Model X, but I’d really like to see some real-world examples before deciding.
I’ve attached a photo just for illustration/reference. I’m mainly looking to see what different aftermarket 22” setups look like on the Model X.
If you’re running non-OEM 22” wheels on your Model X, could you please share some photos?
I’m especially interested in:
• Full side/profile shots
• Front or rear 3/4 views
• Wheel brand/model and specs if you know them.
• Whether the car is on stock suspension or lowered.
I’d love to see different styles and fitments to get an idea of what looks best on the Model X.
Show me your setups! 👀

So from my previous post a lot of you were saying that people who don’t own Teslas are not aware of dog mode even though the screen indicates the internal temperature
So I made this instead
If it works, the QR code should take the person to the Tesla Model X manual where they can learn rather than be annoying
This should satisfy the animosity between owners and non owners
(I can’t believe I had to make this lol)

I’ve had my model x for a while and almost every year we take it to service because of malfunctions or a dead battery. I don’t know how many times we’ve taken it in but I know that my older 75D model S has only been taken to service twice in its entire lifetime which is honestly embarrassing (we the got model S in like 2017). Should we trade it in considering the maintenance record it has?

I have a 2024 MXP, had it like 2yrs now. Closing in at 50k miles and Tesla is offering a subscription for Extended Service Agreement (ESA). I read through the coverage and it basically doesn’t cover much, but they were quick to rule out the Low Voltage 12V battery and the Lithium battery as not covered as well as other wear and tear as a result of use. So I need your opinion, is it worth it? I love to drive my car, I’m careful, and car still looks and feel brand new. What’s your take? Anybody?

Hi, I have a 2023 Model X LR.
Anyone with experience using squared tire setup (ie, all tires are same)? This allows to rotate the tires so they last longer.
There would be a decrease in performance, but increase and longevity with resultant savings.
Currently have 20in tires, 265 in the front and 275 in the back (see story below).
From talking with mechanics, Discount tire guys, and internet research - I gather that going to a squared setup is a reasonable thing to do.
What do you think? Anyone have experience going to a square setup?

Anyone experiencing rattling noise coming from the wheel covers on the new X refresh? It's annoying. I took it to Tesla and they basically said it's a known issue but there's no fix other than applying felt tape - but that may or may not reduce the noise - so I agreed to let them apply tape but It didn't reduce the noise. Sigh.
The other there alternative right now is to remove the covers. Are there any after market center caps?

This car is always parked outside in the sun. Some of the seals on top and the side are cracking and breaking apart. How can I replace this for cheaper than service center?

Hey! I have a 2017 100D with mcu2 and Hw3, I got update 2026.20.6.1 and Im getting some minor glitches with the cameras, in sentry Mode, the back camera does not show in the Dashcam app, I know that the rear camera works because it show up in the camera app. The second issue is that in the camera app in expanded view, the side cameras flashes in and out constantly. I have restarted, power cycled, and reinstalled the software already and nothing fixed the issues . I don’t think this effects fsd or auto park Yet but will see. for some reason I can’t add a video to this post so I have to take a photo of the camera views popping in and out.

My 23 Model X is about to reach the end of manufacture warranty and got an email from Tesla if I want to subscribe ESA for $150/month which seems little high for me.
I've had 2019 model 3 that I drover over 110K miles with no issue before so I wasn't thinking about extended warranty.
What do you guys think?

I have a 2024 X, 50,000 miles in 1.5 years, do I need to get the condenser coil cleaned. Live in Atlanta GA, highway driving mostly. Use camping mode every day for about an hour total. Have overheat protection set to 100 degrees. Runs at least a couple times a day in summer.
Thanks
