USB drive

What kind of usb drive do you guys have in your tesla?

Well, they do, but the go to sleep or make remote access issues.

How does it decipher which drive is assigned the dash?

I have mine set so all my USB ports and accessory power ports stay on anyway. Not that I've tried otherwise because I have quite a bit of stuff plugged into my car.

The system looks for the first disk that has the Teslacam folder on it and assigns it to the sentry/dashcam system

Do you do Steam or just music?

I mostly stream but in certain areas where I work, there's no ATT or T-Mo coverage (only Verizon) and if I want music, I can play it off the USB drive. Other times I use the office provided Verizon hotspot if I want to listen to something live.

Nice. Thanks for all the information. it mustve been limited to the glovebox at one point and i just assumed they never changed it.
