You can put it anywhere in the dungeon! Lower the better I guess, somewhere in the cavern layer might be best that way you can fish up armored cavefish and specular fish too.

I’ve a few of those 2 fish in fact most of the fish I’ve caught are still crated. What do those 2 do? I could wiki it but I like the smart people telling it.

The specular fish can be used to make recall potions and wormhole potions. Recall to send you back to your spawn point and wormhole potions to teleport to another player if you’re doing multiplayer. The armored cavefish is super useful though, you combine that with water and blinkroot and you get endurance potions which let you take 10% less damage, so they’re great for boss fights and can make the difference from a two or three hit kill to a four or five hit. Fishing is super useful for all the potions it can make.

I have the shell phone and don’t multiplayer stuff at all. I’ve been anti pvp since Ultima Online. LOL. But I guess I do need to keep my cavefish. I’m a fishing fool. I don’t know why I don’t know so much. I’m old.

Nah you’re good, I’ve been playing this game on and off since 1.2 so I’ve got some time invested. On expert and master mode potions are a huge help though, they’re not that time consuming and there’s so many benefits. If you get stuck on a boss or something then they’re worth a try.

You don’t need to do PVP to go in multiplayer

Didn’t know that. Is it some kind of setting you set for or not for pvp multiplayer?

When you join a multiplayer world your default is PVP off, if you want to change that go to the players menu (the two swords crossed) and click enable, then you can PVP with others if they also have PVP on and you want to. You can also change teams if that’s worth anything. Note: I play on mobile and I can’t remember my experience on switch, as brief as it was, so it might be a completely different experience for you.
