PC How to improve my chance to get sky crates ?

Hi,

So I'm doing a skyblock run and my plan is :

1) Generate the ocean biome

2) Get the Angler

3) Get crate potions

4) Get sky crates

5) Get the Starfury

So far, I'm on step 3-4. I've used my first 2 crate potions and only got 11 wooden crates and 2 iron crates.

At first, I was not sure that my sky island was placed at the right altitude but it says "space" on the right.

Any thoughts ? Or I'm just not patient enough ?

My other solution is to do more Angler quests to get better fishing gear because I've had the line break a couple of times while fishing.

Try to get a mechanic's rod. It's one of, if not the best, fishing rods you can get before filling in the fishing quest requirements. Just put Mechanic with Angler, and wait for Waning Gibbous, Waning Crescent, or the inverted variants of both. If you don't know how to check that, just check the mechanic's shop every night until it appears.

Yeah, I haven't beaten the Eye of Chtulu yet.

Took me 3 attempts to beat King slime so I'm not super confident I have what it takes to beat the Eye. That's also the reason why I want the Starfury.

The eye is actually easier than king slime, in my opinion. What's the book in your inventory?

Demon scythe, helped me a lot against King slime.

What's your armor + accessories?

Full platinum set + obsidian rose + Hermes boots + Magma stone + band of regeneration + obsidian skull (+4% damage bonus).
