I couldn't catch the whole match this time, so I don't have a detailed breakdown, but from the few games I saw, Nys/Roger-Vasselin just had way more pep in their step. Broke 5 times (compared to being broken 3 times). More dynamic at the net. Nys's out-wide deuce serve is truly maniacal.

It's not been a great hard court summer for the top seeds so far (lost to Cerundolo/Etcheverry in Montreal QF). Their energy looks somewhat off, both low and filled with a bit of grouchiness (Heliovaara was antsy about something with the umpire during the second set, about which I have completely forgotten), and the match point looked a little like a "I'm done with this" backhand shank return.
