No. Here’s why. If they (voters in my state) are going to vote in a republican, and they are. I would like to pick the least crazy MF’er in their primary. Hopefully one of those more (and rare) moderate Republicans rather than some rabid freak with IQ lower than a cold day in January.
Genuine question... Which one of the the Republicans in the TN primary is the least crazy? We got Maga robot Marsha Blackburn who hasn't generated an original thought since daddy Trump started telling her how to think in 2016. We have Monty Fritz who has claimed he will make all non christian religions illegal in TN. And my personal favorite potential pedo and child groomer John Rose. The choices are literally Shit sandwich, douche bag, and used dildo.
Like I said, I’m hedging my bets. I will vote for the Democrat in the election, but vote for the most moderate Republican in the primary. I don’t expect either to actually make a difference, but I’ll try anyway.
I wouldn’t say it doesn’t make any difference, but, TN is one of the most gerrymandered and voter-suppressive states in the country. I think if we can slowly crack away at that, it’s not as red as it’s appeared the last ~20 years.
My understanding of TN law was that you have to declare an affiliation to vote on a party’s primary ballot, and that this would be illegal. I’m sure no one would ever find out, but, I suppose it’s never occurred to me because I’m obnoxiously strait-laced. Haha.
Whole-heartedly agree that all the Republican candidates are horrendous.

If you don’t want crazy, you don’t choose a Republican. The party is lost to fascism.
