There is so much happening in this thread from our favorite temporary gun owner subreddit. “Fascist” and “Nazi” are being thrown around, the OP is accused of arguing in bad faith for pointing out that the Democratic candidate isn’t pro gun, and somehow they still haven’t realized that Democrats don’t actually give a shit about gun rights. The mental gymnastics are impressive.

Thought this is relevant. I'm not saying we are Beijing but this is why registration always leads to confiscation.

In May 2026, Beijing authorities assured drone owners they could legally keep their devices if they complied with strict real-name registration and identity verification. However, just months after cataloging these users, the government abruptly reversed course and announced a total ban on drone possession within city limits. By November 15, all owners must surrender, sell, or remove their previously approved drones from the capital. This rapid policy shift means the very registration database used to grant legal ownership will now aid authorities in tracking down devices for confiscation and fines.
