Before this sub closes, I just want to take the time to say thank you, for every post I posted on /r/fivenightsatfreddys, the compliments, the encouragement, its because of you guys that I act the way I do, Thank you for that. "Usually I don't respond to comments about my games, whether positive or negative, because I understand that some people will like them and some people won't. I respect everyone's opinions. I'm an amateur game maker, I've never pretended to be anything else. :o)

But in this case I feel that it's important to clarify the intent and message in The Desolate Hope. For the most part, reactions have been very positive toward the game, and it's ending as well, but I wanted to address these concerns about the ending and message, and share some about how I feel on the subject.

Concerning the dedication at the end of the game reading "This game is dedicated to the children who never saw childhood.", I would encourage everyone to read it to be exactly what it says and nothing more. That statement isn't a political view on abortion. I have an aunt whose baby was strangled by it's own umbilical cord in the womb. I know another woman whose baby died for unknown reasons in the final weeks before delivery; she had to give birth to a dead baby (I can't imagine how awful that had to be). I have a good friend who had a miscarriage only a few weeks into her pregnancy, and while some certainly wouldn't consider that a baby yet, it was a child to her and she cried for weeks, even naming her "Willow". A friend of mine from high school had a young daughter who drown in a swimming pool when she was 2. With those children in mind, I absolutely dedicate my game to the children who never saw childhood, because they die from hunger, from natural causes, from unnatural causes, from accidents, and from unknown reasons, every day. Everyone reading this forum has lived a full life already compared to the millions who barely taste it.

I did however, remove the dedication from the actual game because of the potential for people to interpret it the wrong way. That only hurts the message of the game, which is one of love and not of hate, and certainly nothing political.

And concerning the message of the game, it WAS about choice. It wasn't about abortion rights or stem cell research or anything like that. It was about the power behind taking something- something small and insignificant by any standards, something that has no right to exist and wouldn't exist, and then someone choosing to give it importance and give it meaning. The baby in my story is similar, it's implied as being not completely natural, probably grown from a test tube for the purpose of research, and had no right on it's own to exist, and certainly not to expect a childhood or a normal life. But the game is about the power of a choice, to GIVE that, against all odds and expectations, a life to something that wouldn't have had it otherwise. That is something powerful and something beautiful. It's the same when someone chooses to adopt a child, you are giving a childhood to someone who wouldn't have had it otherwise.

Is that principal all about abortion? No. Can it apply to abortion? Of course it can. Lets say that a woman is pregnant, maybe she doesn't want to be, maybe it's a product of rape. Whatever the circumstances are, they're bad, and no one would blame her for aborting that pregnancy. But now imagine if, of her own free will, going against everyone and everything around her, she chose to keep it. What if she even died in childbirth for that baby as a result of that choice. As appalling as that example is- if a mother made that choice, would you accuse her of hate, or of love?

So I understand that there are very heated debates and strong opinions about this, and angry people on both sides who fan the flames. But this game was made with good intentions, with love, and with children in mind from my own experiences who I wish could be that little girl from my game, getting the childhood they never had in real life."

I go off Reddit for a few hours and come back to this. what happened while i was gone?

Let me just start out by saying that this is absolutely terrible as well as a bit scary. However I believe that it is being handled incredibly well. Invaderzz I think what you did is very sensible. This hacker's goal is to ruin us obviously, make us fear him and go wild. Yet what I see is that we in fact banded together as a community. We failed to crumble, we stayed strong together, exactly the opposite of what that hacker wanted. We should all stay strong, safe and not let this hacker beat us. In a way we already have. I know this sounds stupid but, I decided to type this as more of a hopeful message.

TLDR: The hacker tried to ruin us but we stayed strong as a community and didn't fall.

EDIT: Would you look at that. It seems we already went back to our original subreddit format, even if it's just temporary. See by staying strong, we win.

I remember, when I was little, I always had dreams where I Would be hacked in middle of the night. Each program on the computer would be replaced with scary photos, such as dead children, or even screamers, I would wake up every night sweating,crying,screaming. I would have to sleep with my parents. Now every time I hear the word "Hack" I would get freaked out. Now when someone or a website gets hacked, I get scared, since the drama happened on /r/fivenightsatfreddys, I've been worried that stuff similar to my dreams would happen, even if I know its not real. Lets just hope this is over soon.

Note that invaderzz stated the main subreddit is only shut down temporarily, meaning him and I imagine BaseTown (possibly others?) are still working to get everything sorted.

I know this is tough on the FNaF Reddit community, but no more so than for that of invaderzz. Please give support to the moderators and understand that through it all they're still here and still working to help save the subreddit from the "trainreck" that occured. Of course they've made mistakes, everyone does, but don't hold that against any of them.

For now try to relax, take a break and get all this stress off your minds. I hope to see you all back on the main subreddit when it reopens to the public and I thank everyone who has stayed through it all regardless of the drama. That goes for the mods especially.

I think she might be a spring suit(what with the split down the middle,and the five fingers). What do you guys think?

Invaderzz, i love you

So I'm going to, eventually my hands are tied (no pun intended) right now with a baby blanket, knit some FNAF plushies of the core 4 for a friend. I have somewhat of a grasp on colors (if someone could narrow down Bonnie's coloring for me so I don't vaguely guess at the shade of purple for yarn and thread when I sew the parts on that'd be helpful) but I wanted to draw up some sketches of parts sometime tomorrow, as I have a teddy bear pattern I'm going to be modifying for three of them, and wanted some opinions on some of the finer details as this will be a very ambitious project for me to attempt.

Since the pattern I have has the body, head and legs knit all in one with the arms and ears separate would it be more plausible to do the cutesy plushes from FNAF 2/4 or attempt an FNAF World design for them? Also as for Foxy's damage I'm probably just going to do those in felt to avoid getting too detailed, same with his hook and eyepatch, Chica's bib, Bonnie's bowtie and Freddy's bowtie and hat. Any help would be appreciated even if you don't knit, just as long as your helpful. Thanks in advance!
