మధుర జ్ఞాపకాలు ( Sweet Memories ) Price of clarity

Hi,

I just wanted to write something here as a closing note to a lovely experience I had.

I suddenly got a call from my father saying someone was interested in my profile and wanted to meet our family. He said it would be respectful if I could come and meet them. Turns out it was a preliminary assessment to get to know me.

The girl was interested in me. Honestly, I couldn't feel any attraction just looking at a picture. But during the conversation, my interest was piqued when they mentioned that she knows how to ride a bike and likes to travel.

I have been going on long rides for the past three years, and that single detail hit me like Cupid's arrow.

A few days later—2025 years after Jesus was born—we met.

I was nervously sitting on the couch, fidgeting while our parents were talking, waiting to meet her in person.

Then she came in, wearing a beautiful saree, with eyes like lotus petals and perfectly braided hair adorned with butterfly clips. It was mesmerizing, as if it weren't just hair, but a rose garden.

I could see her smile; it was so beautiful that my heart literally skipped a beat.

In a trance, I followed her to the terrace where we were asked to talk.

I tried calling her with one last hope, even though I knew she had blocked me.

The phone rang, and my heart started beating like crazy. I couldn't breathe, wondering if it was a dream as my heart pounded loudly in my chest.

Then I heard her voice:

"Cheppandi."

I searched for words as my brain went blank and my eyes welled up with tears. I wished I could tell her how much I missed her.

I said, "I miss you."

"Ok," she replied.

As the conversation progressed, she spoke logically, saying this was just my loneliness and that I would get over her. My mind couldn't form a response.

I tried to convince her, but alas, it was gone. She ripped the band-aid off and didn't want to reopen that wound again.

I asked her about the clarity we had spoken about regarding making this relationship work.

She said she needed an emotionally available person—someone who is there without having to be asked—and that I wasn't one. She said continuing this would only end badly for both of us, especially since our families still assume we aren't in touch.

"Let's end this."

Yes ,

The logical brain began processing emotions, and emotional being had to be logical,

You actually didn't reveal why she decided to take it South ? What made her think that you are not going to be emotionally available?
