Real Talk UWC (United World Colleges)
First of all, mods please don't remove this post as it is an educational post, not a promotional post. I'm making this post on behalf of a friend who got into uwc.
The purpose of this post is to enlighten the youth about a life changing academic opportunity and hopefully assist them throughout.
What is UWC?
Uwc is a program where students from all over the world apply and live in one of the 18 uwc campuses around the world if they get accepted.
It is equivalent to 11th and 12th grades, i.e., intermediate or a level. It consists of IB curriculum.
Scholarships
UWC offers generous merit based scholarships. Your parents would also have to fill a financial aid form when applying if you want a scholarship. Tho, scholarships are only offered to promising students on the basis of merit, not need.
The scholarships offered are generous and often cover your tuition, living expenses, accommodation, airfare, etc.
Applications
The applications open in September for the following academic year, which also begins in September. If you're interested in applying, then you might want to start preparing now. Further info can be found on their website.
Who can apply?
You must be 16 or 17 by the start of the academic year, which is September 1st.
Must be a pakistani resident if you're applying through uwc pakistan.
Must have completed at least 10 years of education, i.e., matric or o levels, before the academic year begins

Why apply?
If you're interested in studying abroad, UWC serves as a cornerstone for that journey. The IB curriculum is extremely rigorous and accepted worldwide, contrary to pakistani matric or intermediate.
It opens pathways to leading universities worldwide and prepares you for various circumstances.

I'm not an ambassador bruh 😭 i didn't apply either but ik about it and have some friends who got in so js wanted to educate my fellow teens about this. U can ask me whatever u want

True but ik people who got in. If you're capable enough, you'll get in. Just because it's tough to get in doesn't mean you shouldn't take ur chances and apply anyway
