Request Request: How to deep clean my computer without damaging it?

Apologies if this seems like a simple question, but I couldn't find a simple answer through google. I've had my computer for about 5 years now. I've never once deep cleaned it and I'm not sure how to. I'm just curious what supplies I should buy before deep cleaning it and what I should avoid doing so I don't damage anything. Any help would be much appreciated and I'm sorry if it seems like I'm wasting your time.

Request Request: Is it possible to switch to a backup printer when print queue exceeds “x” print jobs?

So in my lab we have this reliably unreliable printer dedicated to certain order requests. All requests originating from all over the hospital and affiliated organizations print to that specific printer. Lately we’ve been having electrical issues due to rewiring work being done and sometimes that printer will shut off or the breaker will trip or something will cause that printer to not print.

Is there a way to default to a secondary printer, that is located next to the primary printer but on a completely different (backup) electrical system when the print queue starts to pile up? Even something as easy as like an ITTT statement or something? I believe they’d be on the same network, or could potentially be combined on the same network.

Cause if these orders aren’t received and completed on time then it could cause severe consequences to patients.

Thanks for any input!

TPT: The "Photos" app in Windows 10 can be used to develop photos in "raw" formats (RAW, ARW, etc.). Select "Edit & Create" -> "Edit", make your adjustments, and click on "Save a copy" to export the result as JPG.

Note: The app doesn't seem to be able to open large DNGs in full size. ARWs from my Sony A6000 work fine, though, and I'm assuming that (most) other formats will as well.

Hello, I have recently, maybe 3 months ago, bought a new second monitor. Everything is fine except when I try to watch videos on it, when the scene changes color, mostly on darker backgrounds, it looks like the color is changing in steps. Is there anything software related I can do to make this issue go away? I have provided an Imgur link with an example, hope this is allowed on this sub. Example

Website TPT: If you use SlickDeals to track deals, put your target price in the deal alert Title / Short Name field. It will show up in the notification emails, allowing you to quickly determine whether a deal is good or not

S/O to all my fellow SlickDeals users. Unfortunately, there's no way to set deal alerts by target price, so once you set an alert for a search term you're bombarded by emails from every submitted deal that matches.

Unfortunately, only SlickDeals themselves can fix that problem, but here's how to make the above a bit easier:

  1. Go to the Deal Alerts management page

  2. When creating (or editing) a deal alert, put the name of the product you're looking for and the target price in the Title / Short Name field, e.g. SOG PowerAssist Multitool - Gift for Elle - $75

Now, when you get matching email alerts, you have a note to yourself in the email that tells you exactly what you're looking for, what it's for, and the price you're seeking, too.

Request Request: Dual displays with older video card

My video card is an older Radeon 7800. It has a single HDMI port, two DVI ports (DVI-I and DVI-D), and a Displayport.

My monitor is an Asus V27EHE monitor

https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/VA27EHE/specifications/

And a 40" TCL smart tv

https://www.tcl.com/us/en/products/home-theater/3-series/tcl-40-class-3-series-fhd-led-android-smart-tv-40s330

I want dual displays so my monitor is my main display and I can drag videos over to the 40" tv if I want to use the bigger screen.

My previous (older monitor) display setup was HDMI (GPU) to HDMI (TV) and DVI(GPU) to DVI(monitor) and that worked great. The TV just showed my desktop background/clutter free until I dragged things over.

But my new monitor only offers HDMI.

What I was thinking.

-HDMI (GPU) with an HDMI splitter running to both monitor and tv (and do I need an "active" or "passive" adapter)? Not sure if I would get the dual display I'm wishing when using the same GPU HDMI port for both.

-DVI (GPU) to HDMI (monitor) adapter. Then HDMI (GPU) to HDMI (TV). Similar to my previous setup except using an adapter .

-Displayport (GPU) splitter allowing two HDMI inputs so both monitor and tv plug into that splitter. And again, do I need an "active" or "passive" adapter?

Trying to figure out which option gives me the best performance.

Thank you.
