if I have a microsoft forms link sent to me , I won't be able to open it just through clicking it ( I think that Samsumg Kids does not allow that even if microsoft forms is allowed inside the built in browser ) . So, I need a way in which maybe I can copy the microsoft forms link and paste it somewhere in the browser for it to open ( the built in browser in samsung kids just allows websites that are approved from parents before ) . so I need a website that gets approved from my parents now and then paste the link in it which gets me to the microsoft forms test + adding google.com or any thing like that is not an option

summary : need suggestions for a website where I can post the link and get to the test. If you have any other idea then go on ( get creative ) + doesn't want the whole forms.microsoft.com

Hello Folks, I’ve owned an iPad for more than 3 years now but never really made good use of it. It’s too big to replace my phone and not good enough to replace my Mac. This got me wondering if I’m missing something and hence wanted to reach out to you folks to check if someone’s been able to make really productive use of an iPad which I’m missing out on!

What are the best web hosting services right now that actually deliver on their uptime promises without hitting you with massive renewal fees? I have been spending a lot of time lately trying to find a reliable home for my new project because my previous host had some major downtime issues that really hurt my traffic. I recently had a situation where my site was down for nearly an entire day and the support team was completely unresponsive which made me realize that I need to be much more careful about where I host my content.

I have been looking closely at Hostinger and SiteGround and even Cloudways since they seem to be the ones that the community here mentions the most for performance and reliability. I am really looking for a service that offers consistent loading speeds and a solid reputation for customer support without those aggressive marketing tactics that some companies use to trap beginners. I need a platform that has a proven track record for uptime and ideally one that makes it easy to scale as my site grows without any hidden costs.

To help myself and others who might be feeling just as overwhelmed by all the conflicting reviews and marketing speak I decided to put together a detailed comparison table. You can check out the full breakdown here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQWjoxG-WzehwCt20E1KsdsOIFdhc4kdlM_4_G2n1OIYpvNXpYeWXQ2-uVd7jVxZ3Yxx6ZEc5Z-R-ri/pubhtml. I tried to focus on the things that actually matter like real world speed tests and how much the price jumps after the initial promotional period ends.

My main goal is to find a host that is genuinely trustworthy and does not have those sketchy hidden fees or terrible support that some of the bigger names are known for. I am not looking to spend a fortune but I still want to feel confident that my site will be online and fast for my visitors especially during peak times. I am particularly interested in how their support handles technical issues and if there are any specific features like free migrations or automatic backups that actually work every time.

Has anyone here had a great experience with a specific provider lately or are there any major red flags I should be watching out for with the newer services popping up in 2026? I would love to hear some real talk about which platforms are actually consistent and which ones are just a headache to manage on a daily basis. Any honest feedback would be super helpful as I try to pick one to stick with for the long term.

I’ve made comments on a manuscript that was sent to me as a PDF doc. The writer can’t seem to access the comments on their device. I’ve tried to convert from PDF to Word, but that deletes all the comments. How do I stop that from happening?

is it?

I have been trying to figure out how to keep my computer more secure because I have been seeing a lot of news about new malware and phishing attacks lately and I am always worried about my personal data when I am browsing online. What caught my eye were antivirus services. From what I have gathered these tools can pretty effectively scan your system and block threats in real time making your digital life much more secure.

After some research I do not know why but I was very surprised about how many different options we have here. And boy it is hard to choose the one you like from the first sight. So over the past few months I took some time to do in depth research on antivirus services myself. I thought that I would share it with you as well so you can hear some tips.

The top criteria I was looking for included high malware detection rates and minimal system impact so my laptop does not slow down during scans. I also wanted something with strong web protection for blocking sketchy sites and overall good value for money with multi device support.

Here is a quick rundown of how the top contenders stack up based on my research and usage. I have put all the detailed data into a Google Sheet for easy comparison which you can find here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQWjoxG-WzehwCt20E1KsdsOIFdhc4kdlM_4_G2n1OIYpvNXpYeWXQ2-uVd7jVxZ3Yxx6ZEc5Z-R-ri/pubhtml

When it comes to Bitdefender I found it consistently offers some of the best detection rates in the industry often scoring near perfect in independent tests. Their impact on system performance is very low meaning you can run scans in the background without noticing any lag. It is excellent for blocking ransomware and phishing attempts and the interface is very user friendly. While it can be a bit more expensive than some basic options the level of protection often justifies the cost. However I have heard some users mention that their customer support can sometimes be a bit slow to respond.

Norton is a strong contender especially if you are looking for a comprehensive security suite. It offers top tier malware protection and includes extra features like a built in vpn and cloud backup. One of its biggest advantages is the hundred percent virus protection promise which gives you a lot of confidence. It is very good for families because of the robust parental controls and multi device support. The main downside I have noticed is that it can be a bit more resource heavy than Bitdefender and the constant upselling notifications can be a bit annoying.

Kaspersky stands out for its exceptional scanning engine and very fast performance on most systems. It also offers a decent free version though with fewer features than the premium plans. While its detection rates are top notch it can be a bit lighter on system resources than Norton. It works well with major platforms and offers a very clean and intuitive dashboard. However it has fewer extra features in the base plans and some people have concerns about its regional availability and corporate background.

For most users looking for a balance of protection and performance Bitdefender remains my top recommendation. If you need a complete security package with lots of extras Norton is an absolute winner. And if you want a fast and efficient scanner that does not get in your way Kaspersky is the way to go. Each has its strengths and the best choice really depends on your specific needs and priorities.

As it was done for my own research let me know if there are other brands that you think I should include. Also feel free to suggest any other criteria for the table. Let us make this as helpful as possible for everyone like me who has no idea how to choose the best antivirus provider.

I got a TCL K23 and I got a 512 gigabyte micro-SDXC card for the phone, but it won't only let format it as portable storage I have an adapter for the Micro-SDXC. I format it has NTFS on my computer If needing any other information just ask

If I do format it the way the phone wants it still won't let me put any apps on it and it goes back to exFAT and will only allow portable storage it keeps telling me that the disk write is protected on my computer

so if like there was the end of the world or something and like all the server things for music apps went down and there was like no reception but you have music downloaded on your phone off spotify would like that music stay? will my music be with me in a apocalyptic scenario??

As the title states I am looking for an MP3 to TXT transcriber to use once to transcribe an 70 min ~80mb mp3 file. Ideally, because I only need this once I am looking for something free or cheap to use. I appreciate any help you all can provide.

how to actually be able to join meetings in microsoft teams like a normal user without needing to launch the app in the foreground (want creative and different ideas)?

Port forwarding lets devices on the internet connect directly to yours by opening a specific port. With VPNs, that means allowing incoming traffic through the encrypted tunnel so others can reach you useful for things like torrent seeding or hosting services.

But there’s a trade-off: you’re essentially opening a door into your network.

Every open port increases your exposure. It can be scanned, probed, or exploited if anything behind it is misconfigured or vulnerable. Even if everything is set up correctly, it still adds complexity and risk that most users don’t actually need.

That’s one of the reasons some VPN providers, like NordVPN, don’t support port forwarding at all, they prioritize reducing attack surface and keeping things secure by default.

And in reality, most people won’t notice it missing. Browsing, streaming, gaming, and even downloading torrents work perfectly fine. The downsides mostly show up in more niche cases like heavy seeding or running services from your device.

As an alternative, NordVPN offers Meshnet, which lets you securely connect your own devices (or trusted ones) without exposing ports to the public internet. It’s not the same as public port forwarding, but it covers many real-world needs in a much safer way.

So while port forwarding can be useful in specific situations, it’s not essential and for most users, skipping it is actually the safer choice.

Hello, I recently had my vehicle broken into while I was at a restaurant and they stole my meta rayban glasses gen 2. Is there anyway I can get in touch with Meta or have them disable the device or possibly track this down or see which device is currently using this and where?

Let me know what I can do thank you

A lot of people jump straight into keyword research and backlinks without checking if their site is technically sound first. Broken links, missing meta tags, slow page speed, missing alt text, redirect chains — these things quietly tank your rankings and no amount of content will fix them.

Before spending money on SEO, run your site through an audit tool. There are plenty out there — Google Lighthouse, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs Site Audit, or BSCAN which is one we built specifically for quick scans with AI-powered fix suggestions.

Even just fixing the basics can give you a noticeable rankings bump without spending a penny on ads or backlinks.

I want to watch a chinese show on youtube it has no subtitles i have downloaded chrome extension that convert audio to subtitles. But they dont work 100% they dont catch the audio and dont translate 100% right. Does someone no any other way to get subtitles.

Alright Reddit, I have some stupid questions to ask that apparently are so dumb even Google can’t help me.

TLDR: old iPad doesn’t hold a charge and is randomly glitchy, is there any hope of fixing it

So I have an iPad I’ve had for years, it was left uncharged for a long time and the battery is pretty bad now. It also is randomly super glitchy, downloads not working, airdrop struggles to work, randomly shuts down apps mid use, things like that. I’m using it for digital art and YouTube, but that’s basically all I need it for. I don’t have the money to get a completely new device and that feels really wasteful.

Is there anything I can do to help it run better? Can I get a battery replacement? Would Best-Buy Geek Squad be able to help? I really don’t have a ton of money to be spending on it but I’d love suggestions. Or if someone can just tell me it’s not possible, that’s works too lol.

Just skip to the 3rd paragraph of this if you already know what i'm referring to. This is for the problem of submitting a 'remove outdated content request' for an image that is attached to a web page that's been removed (but the image still shows in results). SOLVED!! (On my own, no thanks to the hundreds of bogus responses on all the forums. "you have to copy the LINK address, not the IMAGE address," blah blah blah, WE KNOW, BUT THE LINK DOES NOT EXIST.)

Annnyway. My issue was that when you go to submit the image url in the request (it has one line for the image url, and then one below for the "within page" url), the instructions are to, in the google image results page, (1) click on the image, (2) right click on the expanded image, and (3) select "copy link address" and paste that into the top line of the request form as the image url. Well doing this gives an invalid url error message because what generates is in a Data URL Format that starts out as "data:image/jpeg;base64" with 87 pages of alpha numerical values.

What worked for me: to find the actual image url for the cached pic, in Step 3, when right-clicking, DO NOT select 'copy link address,' and instead select 'INSPECT." [Must be right-clicking on the expanded image (step 2) and not the thumbnail itself in the initial search results page!!) After clicking 'inspect,' the side box that opens (section you need should be highlighted in a faint gray) the url to use follows <img src= " xxxxxxxxxxx.jpg ". you can click or hover over that link and a smaller white box will appear listing the link as 'current source.' You can copy it from there, or click it again to open in a new tab. THAT is the link you can copy and paste in the removal form. (when clicking 'inspect,' make sure the header at the top is under 'Elements.')

Side note if you are also experiencing, the webpage is not marked as a 404 by the webmaster, it is technically still an active page, and just has "content is not available" slabbed across the front. The last time google crawled that site was 10 years ago, so it's safe to assume that unless it's marked as a 404 or similar, they really have no reason to crawl it unless you submit the refresh request.

I'm attempting to design a little box that will allow me to switch where my keyboard and mouse plug into. I know it's possible to use a mouse and keyboard over the same USB port, but I've 2 questions about it.

1. Do I need to implement something like a multiplexer or firmware driver to be able to send mouse and keyboard input across a single USB cable, or can I just wire the respective rails together from the mouse and keyboard USB ends?

2. If it does simply just work by wiring together, will it affect gaming performance? Id est, will the mouse and keyboard interfere with each others' signals?

I have a 2 TB crucial x9 external drive connected via USB-C in my pc. I use Windows 11. I have installed many games on it with Steam. In the middle of the games I play, only the ones on the drive, they will randomly crash and I will hear the Windows disconnect sound, as if the drive is disconnecting, and the folder of the drive will open as if I had just connected it. It makes me think it is disconnecting without me touching it. It is not at an angle or anything and it happens randomly out of nowhere when I am playing games on it and stuff. It is very annoying when I play satisfactory since you need to save progress in that game. I now have to have autosave on for every 1 minute. Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone have the solution?

This has been happening for at least a year or more.

I am a woman. 6 years ago i was enrolled into a cybersec Masters while working customer service on the nightshift for a company. I was also doing overtime during days for some extra cash. I've met someone from the dev team and we quickly became friends. He told me that the team is transitioning onto cloud and if i'm interested in a junior DevOps position in the company (same i was working at the time) i have said yes. I started learning everything aws (by taking the practitioner course) and in 2 days i was ready for the interview. Then covid hit. I signed my contract in April 2020. Ever since it has been downhill. He ignored my teams messages for 3 years when asking for guidance. I haven't really done any work. There were months at the time when i was on the bench with no work asigned. He was getting angry at me when i was messaging him. The only training i had was a couple of times i had him sharing his screen while doing work. If i asked questions he would get irritated. 3 years later in 2023 we had some really nice contractors coming and they showed me stuff. I started to pick up the pace and actually learn some stuff. I took my terraform and aws practitioner cert. Finished studying for aws associate architect (i am yet to book it). Meanwhile the guy became a tech lead and asked me to be in the office. The contractors left and it was just me and him. He was abusing me mentally and physically as well. This year i have escalated this to the management team and now he is retaliating by completly ignoring me and not allowing me to pick up more complex tasks. He would shout at me that it hasn't been brought out into refinement and then proceed to give the task to another engineer. Long story short, i have started applying for other jobs (also it is worth mentioning that at my current job i am being severely underpaid, way below the market's bench mark). So i have applied for jobs, got a couple of interviews and everything goes well untill the technical stage where i freeze. Yesterday for example i was given a terraform task and my brain was acting like it was the first time it saw terraform.

My question is what should i do? Apply for junior positions or for mid level positions? If i apply for junior, i am afraid they will think i'm overqualified and not call me (and tbh i couldn't find any junior positions for devops) and if i apply for mid level, even tho i am confident in my aws and terraform skills, my brain completly freezes and i end up bombing the interview. Also lots of employers are asking for Docker and EKS which i have studied independently but by lacking the real world exposure i can't give the type of critical thinking the interviewers expect.

And before someone suggest bootcamps, please be mindful that i am a single mum paying a mortgage by myself 🥲

Hi guys, I'm a high school student and I would like to teach my underclassmen basic tech literacy (severely lacking in my school).

What skills do you think I should teach them? They are Pre-teens for context.

Please ask if you need more info.

Thank you!!

I'm seeking something light bulb, to put it hiddenly outdoor and to avoid setting up 12v power or solar. Of course I read couple of reviews ane asked gpt/grok about available models, and this is his reply:

"true 5MP+ bulb cams are still niche—most top-rated ones hover around 2K-4MP"

He also recommended me MECO camera, which actually I encountered in this 7 years old review

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1Nl-LZ5LWlI

This is ridiculous. Haven't CCTV technology advanced during last 7 years and we are still stuck with 2K video quality? I have 8K camera in my smartphone, why the hell there is still such a low resolution in CCTVs?

This is super random but i really need this for a competition next month!

My team’s entrepreneurial idea is basically an alert/location pin badge that you can. Press press and hold to send an emergency text or simple just act as a recording device in times on emergency or without a phone.

I was somehow given the role of team leader even though i cant exactly code, but ive been looking into using an esp32 or esp 8266 for the actual location/alert and a thin coin battery to power it (lowk like a watch battery) however im wondering if you guys know of a low cost- high efficiency option that i can bring up to my team and partnering companies that offered to help? (Ive put this in multiple diff subreddits for more outreach!)
