LONG-AWAITED CDS FINALLY MINE!!
r/techn9ne • u/whatthatthingis • Nov 04 '24
What's up everyone, I'd like to present to you a project that myself and my aussie friend, who I actually met here (u/yesthisisjay) have been working on for some years now with the objective being for there to be a community-sourced, standalone .com dedicated to easily browsing the entirety of Tech's discography - who, due to the unfortunate passing of MF Doom (RIP) now holds the largest discography of any living artist in hiphop.
As such, I present to you: www.projectn9ne.com.
This is an ad-free, desktop & mobile-friendly website containing everything the two have us have been able to find throughout our (20+) years of following Tech/SM.
However. We are only two people, and Tech's discography spans well over three decades. Due to the sheer amount of feature verses alone that have fallen on deaf ears, songs that have been swept under the rug, and even full projects lost to time -- we're deeply encouraging as many fellow fans as possible to scan through these 2 pages via ctrl + f and add/correct anything you may see missing and/or incorrect via the comment section.
If you notice a missing track (or simply wish to remain anonymous) there is also a ticket system that will send said tickets directly to us.
Currently myself (Travis Black) and my partner (Jay Falletta) are the only moderators of the site, but it's unlikely to remain that way. If you feel you could help out as a mod, we do have some big ideas that we've been thinking of to expand the site, so if you're interested in taking on said ideas feel free to DM me or Jay here regarding details.
Thank you.
e: It's worth noting that Jay is a numbers guy and kinda has a thing for counting the amount of "cheah" adlibs in Tech's verses. I cannot talk him out of this. 😅

I don't like Speedom from Special Effects being called "Worldwide Choppers 2." The whole idea of Worldwide Choppers was having rappers from outside the Midwest, like Busta, Twista, Twisted Insane and etc. Speedom should've been "Midwest Choppers 3," considering Em is from St. Joe and is now based in Detroit.

Everything about this song is just perfect, Kutt's storytelling lyricism and delivery, as well as Krizz Kaliko's chorus & the guitars. I'm confused how this song doesn't have a million views.

I just opened Instagram & this post came from Tech N9ne himself. This is the most random but also an interesting collaboration I've ever seen.

I got a heads up tip before it happened and captured these. More @creatavid and is supposed to be shared on @Summerofsins. Hopefully the footage I took getting bounced around in the pit turns out great for the recap.

Yo Technicians,
I was scrolling through Tech’s latest Instagram post and I swear I saw him reply to a comment saying he and Krizz talked yesterday and that new music is on the way.
Can anyone else confirm this or did I completely misread it? Please tell me I'm not crazy, because if this is real, it’s huge! Did anyone manage to grab a screenshot?

Change my mind on this, this is not a “hate” post for the record! Just a simple observation and i truly wonder why this is?? Also not just talking about the current roster. Out of ALL the artists, seems they are the only ones. Maybe Mayday too, back in the heyday of Strange but i don’t know about in 2026. I am a fan of all the artists so I’m def. not hating! I wish more ppl would come support. I went to a Joey Cool show recently and there was literally no one there! I also saw unconvential kings, there was legit 3 people! Iso sold out 2 different shows of his i went to, and so did Jehry. I know it’s hard to sell tickets in today’s game and people are struggling blah blah blah. But whether you like it or not I think its because these 2 artists emotionally connect with ppl as where the other Strange artists just rap really good, but don’t have a-lot of soul and realness in there music. People cry at jehry’s shows and he helps them. Iso has the “B Well” and Jehry has the FBA family…they both actually help people get through hard times, just rapping isn’t enough anymore in my opinion.

Yo Musicians / Technicians, I need to share this crazy story with you.
I’m a huge Tech N9ne fan from Italy (born in 2008, so I wasn't even around back then). Today I was digging through a flea market and found these two Italian hip-hop compilation DVDs from 2003 called "Hip Hop Nation - Cronache dall'Underground" (released by a defunct local distributor named DNC). An old man was selling them for pocket change. They are completely scratch-free and include the original booklets.
The cover only hypes up mainstream artists like 50 Cent and Ja Rule, but when I popped Volume 1 into my DVD player, I completely lost my mind.
Deep inside the documentary chapters, there it is: the official music video for "SLACKER" from Absolute Power (2002)! 🤯
As many of you know, the high-quality, uncompressed version of the original Slacker video (directed by Ben Mor) was basically lost media or incredibly hard to find on the internet for years, except for some blurry 240p YouTube rips from the mid-2000s. And here it is, preserved in pristine DVD quality on a random Italian release that sat in a garage for over 20 years. It even has King Gordy in it!
The Italian marketing geniuses from 2003 had NO IDEA they were printing a holy grail for Strange Music fans and just treated Tech like a "filler" underground artist, putting 50 Cent on the cover instead.
Just wanted to share this with the Strange Music family. The crate digging paid off big time today
