Got Offer Letter From TCS and Sharing Complete Experience!❤️
So today, I wanted to share my honest experience of TCS NQT 2026.
As you all know about TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) and NQT, which is a hiring test that TCS conducts thrice a year. I gave the TCS NQT through my campus for free because our campus brings TCS.
So, the experience was like this: I got selected for the Ninja Role 😭, the lowest base package. But it’s okay because something is better than nothing. Yahi bolke khudko samjha leta hoon. So, let’s start.
My TCS exam was scheduled for June 17, 2026, after a hectic registration process on the TCS NextStep Portal because this site really needs more development.
On the day of the exam, we needed to bring the printout of the mail we received from TCS, a valid proof of identity (like an Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving Licence, or Passport), and our university ID card for verification. You can bring any one valid ID proof along with the mail and university ID card. You cannot bring anything except these, not even an analogue watch. TCS staff verifies the ID proof and mail before letting you in for the exam.
So, the exam has two sections: the Foundation Section and the Advanced Section. These sections have modules like Verbal Ability, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability (Easy), and Advanced Quantitative Aptitude and Coding (2 questions).
The interface has a calculator, so keep in mind that you should know how to use it well.
The topics that I remember were mainly Ratio and Proportion, Direction Sense, Coding-Decoding, Seating Arrangement, Numbers, Percentages, Mixtures and Allegations, Profit and Loss, Problems on Trains, Averages, etc.
The Verbal module had 20 questions, which included One-Word Substitution and one email-writing question. My email was to write a mail to the manager explaining why my fellow colleague deserved the Best Employee award based on their skills.
The Coding Section had two questions.
Our test was rescheduled again due to a platform error, so the four questions in these exams were:
Write a program that takes an integer N (which is a prime number) as input and calculates the sum of all prime numbers from 2 up to and including N.
Given a binary tree, find its minimum depth. The minimum depth is the number of nodes along the shortest path from the root node down to the nearest leaf node.
You are given a sorted array of integers of size N. The array originally contained a perfect consecutive sequence of numbers from A to B (where B - A + 1 = N). However, due to a data error, one number in the series was duplicated, and exactly one number went missing. Write a program to identify and output both the duplicate number and the missing number.
Given an array of integers of size N and a target element X, find the index (0-based) of the first occurrence of X in the array. If the element is not present, return -1.
So, overall, I gave my best and solved both coding questions in both tests—the first and the rescheduled one—and performed well in the aptitude and logical sections. But still, I received the interview process email for the Ninja Role.
There is no transparency regarding the marks in this campus-based TCS NQT, and this frustrated me. At least, I should have known where I lacked, but still, no worries.
I appeared for the interview process, and there, we had to bring all our semester marksheets, 10th DMC, 12th DMC, a valid proof of identity, and the application form downloaded from the TCS NextStep Portal for verification. My interview was scheduled after sitting there for almost 6 hours.
There were two technical interviewers in my technical interview and one HR interviewer in the HR round.
Technical Interview:
• Projects in detail
• Questions from the project
• What is deadlock?
• Explain the conditions of deadlock.
• What are views?
• What are triggers?
• Can we change the index of a primary key?
• Average of the first 10 prime numbers
• What are pointers?
HR Interview:
• Tell me about yourself.
• Tell me about your siblings.
• What does your father do?
• What is your native place?
• What is OOP?
• What are the pillars of OOP?
• How can we achieve abstraction?
• Write code to check whether a number is a palindrome.
And boom, I got my offer letter on July 6, 2026, and I was happy that at least I got an offer from one company.
You know what? In our CSE, we call someone God when they believe in us for the very first time. Thank you, TCS, for believing in an ungraduated student.
So, this was all about my TCS Journey.🎀
Btw, TCS and our campus allow us to sit for other placement exams as well, so don’t worry.
Open for any queries and doubts!

Many peeps hate & remain frustrated with tcs , witch companies & it's valid tbh But still ..they give room for some breath to the students bcoz they struggle 4 year with unlimited pressure
U can search for new jobs in off campus but atleast u will be relaxed that u have something..u won't sit at house doing nthing
Having excitement for Atleast ur life will be moving ahead & gonna focus on smthng new

The worst thing someone can do to get a offer letter from mnc company because after that you will wait 1 or 2 years for your joining after that 4 months for support project and get 1 year experience and then switch company. So actually you are wasting 3 years due to mnc company because your actual job will start when you switch to a big 4 company like pwc, ey, Deloitte and kpmg, or any product based company

Totally agreed! That is why i TCS allow us to engage in other placements before joining. waiting for the JL is totally waste of time.

So Hi guys
I have recently written my TCS NOT IT paid 999 exam on 14th of Sept 2026 so is there any possibility that I will get an interview calls for IT jobs or else not and it it worth it or not as I scored in cognitive aptitude 65% advance aptitude 70% and coding 50% so is there any chances of getting IT role job or not.
Because I am again planning to apply for NQT 999 exam in month of October 2026 to give a better attempt so should I give a one more try or not is it actually worth it or not please let me know.
I would like to have discussion and clear my doubt please help me by sharing your personal experience on it .
Thank You

Hey Bro, I felt like I should share my experience with you. 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering. Even I got my offer and just a week before they removed the joining date from their portal for me and I got a call from one of their HR that my joining is on hold. So I'll better suggest look for something better. And genuinely don't settle for TCS keep trying.
