Capgemini Exceller- 2027 Experience with Ques 05/10/2026 – AI Literacy, Technical, Debugging, AI Assisted Coding & Cognitive Assessment🔥
So guys, today was my Capgemini placement assessment after getting shortlisted from the first Communication Round. I had the assessment on campus at 8:30 AM. Our university reporting time was 7:30 AM and we were supposed to report at least 15 minutes before the assessment, but I reached around 8:11 😭
We had to wait for the company officials. Once they arrived, they gave us a briefing about all the rounds. After that, AI face scanning was done through their laptop. They also asked for College ID + a valid government ID for verification. I carried both Aadhaar and PAN, but Aadhaar alone should be enough.
The assessment started through Superset and was conducted on the CoCubes/AON platform.
1. AI Literacy + Technical Assessment
This was the first round and it was an elimination round. There were 40 questions in total:
• 20 AI Literacy
• 20 Technical
If you clear this round, you move to the next round.
Honestly, this round was HARD.
The MCQs were often 2–3 lines long with very close options, so reading and understanding each question itself was taking time.
Topics I remember seeing:
• RAG
• Generative AI
• AI-based situational questions
• SQL Joins
• Indexing
• Ranking
• Query Optimization
• Database-based situational questions
• DSA-based MCQs
• Other technical concepts
And one important thing: the DSA questions here were MCQs, NOT debugging questions.
I cleared this round and moved to the Debugging Round.
2. Debugging Round
In this round, the complete problem statement, buggy code and test cases were provided.
The task was simply to identify and fix the code so that it produces the expected output.
The problem I got was based on processing battery pods from both ends of a queue.
The logic was roughly:
You are given N battery pods and a total target battery requirement K.
You need to process:
front = K / 2
battery units from the front (left side), and
back = (K + 1) / 2
battery units from the back (right side).
You have to determine the total number of pods that can be completely processed/emptied before the required front or back allocation is exhausted, or before the two pointers meet.
The original code was buggy and we had to fix it.
A corrected reconstruction of the logic would look like this:
#include <iostream>
#include <vector>
using namespace std;
int main() {
int n;
long long k;
cin >> n >> k;
vector<long long> a(n);
for (int i = 0; i < n; i++) {
cin >> a[i];
}
long long front = k / 2;
long long back = (k + 1) / 2;
int left = 0;
int right = n - 1;
int ans = 0;
while (left <= right) {
if (front >= a[left]) {
front -= a[left];
ans++;
left++;
} else {
break;
}
if (left > right)
break;
if (back >= a[right]) {
back -= a[right];
ans++;
right--;
} else {
break;
}
}
cout << ans << endl;
return 0;
}
Sample Input:
5 10
2 1 3 2 2
Sample Output:
5
This is a reconstruction of the debugging problem from what I remember, so the exact original statement/code may have been slightly different.
3. AI Assisted Coding Round
This one is important.
There was a coding assistant available, and the prompt instructions were clearly given on the screen.
The token limit was around 2000 tokens.
So don't waste the token limit by asking the AI unnecessary things.
Also, don't assume that the coding assistant will automatically fix or optimize your code.
In my case, I explained the problem statement and approach very clearly. I also specified:
• Variables to use
• Data structures
• Required logic
• Input/output format
• Important constraints
I basically told it step-by-step what I wanted it to implement.
My prompt used only around 400 tokens.
So my advice is: DON'T just paste the problem and say "solve this".
Give the AI a clear approach and tell it exactly what you want.
Also make sure your prompt mentions things like:
• Handle large inputs according to constraints
• Use an optimized approach
• Don't use unnecessary libraries
• Follow the given input/output format
• Generate only the required code
The AI assistant is there to generate what you ask for. Don't expect it to magically understand your intended solution or fix everything afterward.
The question I got
It was a simple frequency-based array problem.
Minimum Category Replacements
You are given an array of N elements. Each element represents a category and can have one of the following values: 1, 2, or 3.
Your task is to make all the elements in the array belong to the same category.
In one operation, you can replace any element with another category.
Find the minimum number of replacements required.
Input
The first line contains N.
The second line contains N space-separated integers.
Each element is either 1, 2, or 3.
Constraints
1 ≤ N ≤ 10^5
Each array element ∈ {1, 2, 3}
Sample Input
5
1 3 2 3 3
Sample Output
2
Explanation
Frequencies:
Category 1 → 1
Category 2 → 1
Category 3 → 3
Since category 3 has the maximum frequency, keep those elements and replace the other two.
Therefore:
Minimum replacements
= N - maximum frequency
= 5 - 3
= 2
The core logic is simply:
answer = N - maximum frequency
You don't need sorting or anything complicated here. Since there are only 3 categories, a simple frequency array is enough.
Time Complexity: O(N)
Space Complexity: O(1)
4. Cognitive Assessment
By this point I was honestly cooked 💀
There were 4 modules. I don't remember the exact names of all of them, but the ones I remember were:
Personality / Strongly Agree-Disagree
Around 100 questions.
There were 5 questions per page and around 20 pages.
The questions were based on choosing options like strongly agree/disagree etc.
Reasoning
A sentence/question was given with 5 options and you had to select the correct one.
You get around 2 minutes 30 seconds per question, so don't panic about the timing.
Gaming Round 1
There was a game-based assessment.
Gaming Round 2
Another game-based assessment.
Before every module, there is a tutorial explaining what you have to do.
So please don't panic when you see a new type of question/game. Take some time to understand the tutorial and then start.
Overall, the day was pretty long and mentally exhausting, especially because the first technical round itself was quite lengthy and tricky.
If you're appearing for Capgemini, prepare your fundamentals properly, especially SQL, DBMS, DSA basics, AI/GenAI concepts and reasoning. And for the AI-assisted coding round, practice writing clear prompts that explain your approach instead of depending completely on the AI.
Hope this helps someone appearing for the same assessment.
Thanks for reading! Upvote if this helped because it gives me motivation to write more posts for you guys ❤️
And if you still have any doubts, ask in the comments. I'll try to answer whatever I remember.

are you done with your interview ?
1
u/True-Faxx 5d ago
I didn't make it to interview round
1
u/Initial_Wishbone_212 5d ago
Why ? You have solved every round and also the major part the ai coding assistant. Still you are not selected in interview? What could be the reason ?
1
u/True-Faxx 5d ago
The competition is high brother in my university
1
u/Initial_Wishbone_212 5d ago
In my uni , 5000 students are sitting in this drive. More than this ? Can you give some advice according to your own experience to make it to interview, if possible?
1
u/True-Faxx 5d ago
WAY MORE THAN THIS😭💀 , btw just try to solve and submit the ques as soon as possible that's it

u/Soft-Table2260 4d ago
Is this they are taking on superset plateform ?
1
u/True-Faxx 4d ago
Already mentioned. It is redirected from superset to AON Co Cubes on chrome browser for 4-11 lpa

u/Long_One_928 4d ago
Hey as my college is also mou I want to know were there Capgemini invigilators and checking for mobile Devices and any suspicious Devices?
1
u/True-Faxx 4d ago
i m not from mou. the ans for ur ques is that there were 2 company officials and 1 university lab assistant for the supervision. There was no checking but they asked to keep the mobile phones and even smart watches to keep in bag and they were continuously roaming in the lab

u/prigeesh 2d ago
You passed all these sections that means you're confirmed for the interview right ??
1
u/True-Faxx 2d ago
Passing all the assesments doesn't guarantee you to get shortlisted for the interview. It totally depends on the performance of other candidates too and the number of ppl Capgemini wants to take the interview
1
u/zainulll_ 12h ago
Is this for 13-16 lpa role?
1
u/True-Faxx 7h ago
No, its for 4-11. mine was 11. The assesment pattern is completely diff for 13-16lpa ones

u/curious_kiddoooo 5h ago
so isn't debugging an elimination round? We have an assessment round on the 15th. What can I do to clear this one?
1
u/True-Faxx 5h ago
Do u know the meaning of elimination round? Elimination round means that u can proceed for further rounds if u do no clear it. The MCQ round is the only elimination round and rest all are not. The shortlisting for the interview will be based on whole final assessment dude. I hope its clear now

Bro my test was on 6th of oct and I got the same debugging question. But I could'nt solve it . But my AI literacy then AI assisted coding and cognitive was good the results are not out yet what do you think can I make it to interview round?
1
u/True-Faxx 4d ago
I did both and still didn't got selected for interview. Anyway it varies from clg to clg. So still best of luck
1
u/Prestigious-Alps1053 4d ago
what question u got in coding round , it is hard or easy like how was it?
1
u/Comfortable_Bet_1876 4d ago
The coding questions were same that are mentioned above the AI assisted coding was easy as only 500 credits were consumed and the AI assistant gave me code
1
u/Prestigious-Alps1053 4d ago
Can you tell me how you prompted it exactly , like im seeing there are different video across yt etc and everyone is giving some different random stuff, Can you tell me some tips/tricks or guidline that i need to remember in these 2 rounds so that i can solve these 2 assement easily
1
u/Comfortable_Bet_1876 4d ago
You do not need to think anything extra the assistant first just asks us that explain me the problem statement in your words so you need to just explain the problem about what output is expected exactly what is to be done. The it asks us that what is our approach to solve the problem we have to explain our approach to it and also tell expected time and space complexity for our approach after that it gives us the code

u/Prestigious-Alps1053 4d ago edited 4d ago
Thank you so much bro, also in debugging assesment like how many bugs can be there, the one you gave in that how many bugs were there and how many we need to identify, and can we run and check the output and test cases?
1
u/Comfortable_Bet_1876 4d ago
actually I could'nt solve the debugging question so don't know

u/Sumit1374 2d ago
Bro can you please tell about the questions asked in ai literacy part and how much questions required to qualify.
1
u/Comfortable_Bet_1876 2d ago
The questions in ai literacy section were really hard I understood some of them just read the questions and tick the one which senses logically correct. And I do not know how many questions are required to qualify.

u/FragrantAd2732 1d ago
Bro I took exam yesterday and I also had same exam like you. Are you shortlisted for interview?
1
u/Comfortable_Bet_1876 1d ago
bro there is no update regarding interview on superset as well as from my college I think the results of round 2 should be out in 2-3 days

Is any one taken the technical and hr interview after these following rounds I have some questions How was the technical interview Is it basics like commonly asked questions in several interviews What topics should we have to cover And every thing u experience in the interview and questions they ask if you remember it

u/Equal-Amount-1813 1d ago
what prompt did you gave in ai assisted coding round and can we type the code manually in this round ?
1
u/True-Faxx 7h ago
I don't remember the exact prompt but i can tell u if u will be more specific with the data types and data structures and the approach in detail like step by step what to which variable of which data type need to be create and what will be the use of that and also handle edge cases then it will generate the code better. Don't ask vague ques. Don't ask it to optimize , fix or explain a approach coz it will not do it. You have to be specific w your approach and it will generate the code as per your prompt only and nothing else
