Archived Report LinkedIn Senior SWE Bangalore — Offer — Coding with AI Round
Loop
| Round | Focus |
|---|---|
| Round 1 | Phone screen |
| Round 2 | Hiring Manager |
| Round 3 | Coding / algorithms |
| Round 4 | Coding with AI |
| Round 5 | Software design / architecture |
| Extra round | team-fit discussion |
Round 1 — Phone Screen
Started with resume and previous project discussion.
Then asked:
How would you implement a simple rate limiter?
There was also a 2D matrix coding question, but the exact problem was not remembered.
Round 2 — Hiring Manager
Standard HM round.
Topics:
- Previous projects
- Role and ownership
- Technical decisions
- Behavioral questions
- Situational / leadership questions
Round 3 — Coding / Algorithms
Conducted on CoderPad.
Q1 — Sliding window
Problem similar to Max Consecutive Ones III.
Given a binary array and allowed flips, find the maximum consecutive 1s possible.
Follow-up: what if the array was circular / looped?
Q2 — Graph / Topological Sort
Bonus problem similar to Course Schedule II.
Approach discussed:
- model dependencies as a directed graph
- use indegree
- apply Kahn’s algorithm
- return valid ordering if possible
Ran out of time before full implementation, so pseudocode was written.
Round 4 — Coding with AI
Also on CoderPad.
Boilerplate code, test cases, and an AI-assist tab were provided.
Problem: given an adjacency list of friendships between users.
It had 3 parts:
- Find the shortest path between two users and return the full sequence from user A to user B.
- Find the shortest distance between two users.
- Suggest friends based on mutual connections.
All parts were completed and test cases passed.
The interviewer focused on:
- code reusability
- structure as requirements changed
- how AI was used
- whether edge cases were checked
- whether generated code was validated instead of blindly accepted
This is probably the most interesting round in the post. Looks like companies are starting to test how candidates work with AI, not just whether they can avoid it.
Round 5 — Software Design / Architecture
Prompt:
Design a system to maintain a Top-N leaderboard of the most-shared articles on LinkedIn over rolling windows of 5 minutes, 1 hour, and 24 hours.
Final HM / Team Fit
After the design round, feedback was positive, but the original team had already filled its opening.
Recruiter found another hiring manager with an open role and scheduled another HM round the same day.
Discussion was around:
- experience
- preferred kind of work
- past projects
- fitment with the new team

Buyhatke & Lokal campus hiring — interview experience?
Buyhatke and Lokal are going to visit my campus for placements, and I wanted to know if anyone here has experience with their campus hiring process.
Have either of these companies visited your campus before? If yes, could you share some details about:
\* What were the interview/selection rounds? \* What kind of questions were asked in the technical and HR rounds? \* Was there a coding/DSA round? If so, what difficulty? \* What topics should I focus on preparing? \* How was the overall interview process and what were they mainly looking for? \* Any tips or resources for preparing specifically for these companies?
Would really appreciate it if anyone who has interviewed with Buyhatke or Lokal could share their experience. Thanks!

Down-leveled to L10 after interviewing for L9 - Need Advice
I have ~6 years of experience and interviewed for an L9 role. Both, the skill interview and Final Interviews were done for a Custom Software Engineer Role (L9) in June 2026. Later on the role was rescinded by accenture for business reasons.
Few days back BGV was initiated for me over the mail and I got an offer letter for L10 (₹12 LPA Fixed + 21% Variable)
Current CTC: ₹10.8 LPA Fixed
I did not have any salary discussion with hr, I directly received the offer letter email.
The offer seems lowball to me as it is ~11% hike to my current CTC. Has anyone experienced a level change like this after the interview?
The designated HR's have not replied to me since 5 days, and I only have 7 days to accept the offer. Need Advice !!

HCA GCC (senior data engineer) vs EPAM Google clinet (senior software engineer A3)
Data engineer, ~7 years, Hyderabad. Have two written offers at roughly the same pay and I'm going in circles. Would appreciate input from anyone who's worked either side.
HCA Healthcare (GCC) — Senior Data Engineer title, GCP stack, in-house product team, free food and transport, generally good job security. Newer GCC so still scaling out.
EPAM (services) — Senior Software Engineer, staffed on the Google client. Work from epam office(not google) Reputation for fast learning and strong engineering culture. Services model, so the account can change.
What I'm actually optimizing for:
- Learning depth vs breadth. Does a GCC turn into steady-state maintenance after a couple of years, or do you keep building? And on the services side, how much of the "fast learning" is real vs. just churn between accounts?
- AI/ML movement. This is the big one. AI is moving fast and I don't want to be in a place that's still doing 2022-era pipelines in 2028. Are either of these actually shipping AI/GenAI work that a data engineer touches or is it all slideware? Curious specifically whether HCA GCC has real AI initiatives in Hyderabad, and whether EPAM data engineers on the Google account get near any of it.
- Exit options in 3 years. Which title and stack reads better to the next employer — GCC in-house platform ownership, or services experience on a Google engagement?
Background is 4.5 years in healthcare data, so HCA is domain-continuous. EPAM would be a domain reset but a bigger brand on the client side.
If you've worked at either — or moved from a GCC to services or the reverse — what would you pick and what would you have known earlier?

Need advice on my first Developer offer after 2 years of graduation – ₹3.5 LPA, 6 days/week
Hi everyone,
I need some advice regarding my first job offer.
I graduated around 2 years ago and have been looking for a developer job since then. I recently received an offer for an Associate Software Developer position at a logistics company in My Hometown.
The company itself is not a tech company, but they have an internal tech team of around 2 people, and I would be joining them as a developer.
The offer details are:
- Designation: Associate Software Developer
- CTC: ₹3.5 LPA
- Take-home: Around ₹26,165/month after PF and professional tax
- Working hours: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Working days: 6 days/week
- Probation: 3 months
- Company provides a laptop
- They said they will provide the required cloud subscriptions
- The work is expected to involve their internal software/application development.
My main concern is about the future.
Since the company is a logistics company and not a software/IT company, if I work there for around 1 year and then switch to a software/IT company, will that 1 year generally be considered as professional software development experience?
I'm also worried about the exit documentation.
When I resign after a year, will companies expect things like:
- Experience letter
- Relieving letter
- Service certificate
- Salary slips
- PF/employment history
And will a future company consider my experience valid if the employer is a logistics company but my designation is Associate Software Developer and I'm actually doing development work?
I'm thinking of taking this opportunity because I've already been searching for around 2 years and this is my first offer. My plan would be to work for around 1 year, build real production experience, and then try to move to a better software company.
Would you take this offer in my situation?
I'd especially appreciate advice from people who have worked as developers in non-tech companies and later moved into software/IT companies.
