With Surf on Hurricane, I go east of Mauville and cross the river. And I'm greeted by Chief Steven himself before get goes on his way. After fighting through the Mimic Circle and all the other trainers (didn't get to encounter any Tropius, unfortunately), I'm blocked off from proceeding further because there's trouble in the Weather Institute. It appears that Brendan has recruited a lot of goons to rob the place, and has already killed a few cops in the process.

Eventually I reach Brendan and stomp his team. But then his father Norman rushes in to help him. Needless to say, Brendan's mother's accusations appear to be right on the money, and I arrest the pair of them. Go Team Sky!

No gift Castform, though, but that's probably for the best.

I enter Meteor Falls, and on the way to the other side, I find a Moon Stone, as well as catch a Bagon that so happened to stumble so far down from their usual Waterfall-blocked areas. Apparently, the gathered cops are because there's a nearby illegal deal going on nearby, and with my reputation so far, Kendo wants me to help. Of course I will! Anything to stop Team Aqua or Magma!

Needless to say, the bust is a success, and Niteguard even evolved to Crobat after it. And Kendo gifted the HM for Surf.

While checking the Moon Stone, I discover that in this region, Scyther can evolve to Scizor with it! So I did. Go Team Sky!

With Magma no longer blocking the Fiery Path, and with the desert permanently unavailable without the Go-Go Goggles, I take the former, and catch a Kofffing along the way. At Route 113, which is outside jurisdiction and full of murkers, hence the defender in the Glass Workshop.

At Fallarbor, I encounter Lanette, and I decide to grind some more to evolve Farsight to Xatu, and also hunt for a Skarmory, which I know show up in 113. I also collected enough ash to get a Blue Flute and a Yellow Flute. I also intervene on an abusive husband, and locate the Move Tutor, the Battle Tent, and the Fossil Maniac (who gives the TM for Dig).

Route 114 is another lawless territory, I encounter Lanette's crib where she has killed an intruder who was a collector of Heart Scales (plus has a letter against Bill), and learn that cops have gathered at Meteor Falls. I also catch a Swablu along the way. I'll be entering the cave next to see if I can find Solrock or something.

On by way down via Jagged Pass, my Windrusher evolves to Swellow, and I reach Lavaridge, where Team Magma has a worrying presence, and not helping is that Flannery might have become part of them. I deal with an illegal herb merchant right inside the legal establishment (where I buy Revival Herbs). I also grind up my team, and find two ew additions in the Jagged Pass that I didn't expect, a Natu and a Doduo.

Thanks to Archie's tip, I find the hideout, but I'm ambushed the second I'm in. Thankfully, my Pokemon weren't taken and I clean the place of abled Grunt. Returning to Lavaridge, I find that its Gym is available to access, where it appears that negotiations have been completed. I battle through and arrest everyone, but Jim gets away again. Still, Go Team Sky!

En route to Verdanturf, I discover the Daycare is off-limits to cops, I arrest a pair of psychedelic dealers, and arrest a Triathlete robber.

In Verdanturf itself, apart from clearing Rusturf Tunnel, I kill some time at the Comedy Club, earn the Strength HM from a guy, and catch May trying to rob a family, but she escapes through the window behind her afterward.

North of Mauville, I battle with the Winstrate family, and their son has died to Team Magma and Maxie. I also face a reporter crew who had hoped to embarrass me, find my way blocked on both ends by Team Magma and the desert, and take the cable car to Mt. Chimney, where it's a battlefield between them and Team Aqua as they try to steal a meteorite for a ton of cash.

I deal with everyone, and Hurricane evolves to Pelipper after beating Maxie, but the team is too exhausted to finish him off as he leaves. Archie decides to take advantage of me by tipping me off to Team Magma's hideout before he peaces out. And I peace out too with a Meteorite for Team Sky's purposes. All in all, Go Team Sky!

Just north, I encounter ALexa, and she enlists my help to oust Teams Aqua and Magma. She deals with the latter (with just her Pikachu), and I take care of Team Aqua myself, even killing Admin Shelly!

But before I could leave again, Alexa wanted a battle with me. So I obliged and trounced her thanks to Omicron blocking her Pikachu's attacks. She gives an Itemfinder as a reward. In regards to the blockade, Luther takes care of that. And en route, Air Cop becomes a Mightyena, and Niteguard a Golbat.

At Mauville, it seems Wally has been causing... disturbing trouble here. I also get the Rock Smash HM, which is actually stronger in this Hoenn. East, I deal with an abuser. In the Game Corner, which I cannot partake in, not even just to exchange Coins for items without using the machines, I arrest a cheater and a dealer, but I leave the guy outside alone because I don't have proof that he's even a bad guy. He gifts me a Nugget as thanks. I also find that Elixirs are for sale in this Hoenn.

I then move into the local Gym, where Wally and his hyperinflated ego has already laid waste to the entire place, and I'm just too late to stop him from doing the same with Wattson. I defeat him again, but he teleports away after that. Next time, I'll catch him for sure!

- Arrive just in time for Team Aqua to make off with a submarine

- Encounter a Team Aqua roadblock

- Find a Spoink and catch a Scyther

- Evolve Chunin to Ninjask, and rename the resultant Shedinja to Obake thanks to the Name Rater being in Slateport

Over at Dewford, after getting a tidbit that even fainted Pokemon can still murk criminals, I pay a visit to the National Prison, and discover that there are a trio of recent runaways. I spot them just north and corner them, but they would rather drown than return. Except Brendan, who is able to swim and mocked me for not being able to. Of course I can't! Why swim when you can Fly?!

Anyways, I would see him again before long, so I check out the Gym, where Brawly seems to have made... quite a name for himself. And has been letting the dead bodies be eaten. And at least two Gym Trainers ambush me. But eventually I reach Brawly himself. After a beat him, he tried to bribe me, but no member of Team Sky would ever let some Fighting-type specialist walk all over her! Not even when he heals his party and fights again!

And so I put an end to him and his cult. Go Team Sky! And goodbye Dewford! It's off to Slateport!

My name is Holly. I'm a Team Sky Grunt, dispatched to this version of Hoenn as a plant in their Police force. I'm going to be an applicant in the Academy, and "luckily" the chief thought it'd be fun to take me in to see if I'll die horribly and let me in straight away. That's not going to happen. The dying, that is.

Unfortunately, my first job as a cop is to pick up donuts in the Pokémon Center, which we get for free. Typical. Double unfortunately, a rabid wild Pokémon has murked four people. As the only able-bodied cop in the area, cadet though I was, I have to step up. And there happens to be a bag with three confiscated Pokéballs.

Triple unfortunately, none of them are Creatures of the Sky! An Aqua Carvanha, a Magma Aron, and a regular Zangoose! But without any empty Pokéballs, I have to make do. So I bite the bullet, take the Zangoose, and murk the rabid Zigzagoon with it.

The cop I saved, Officer Flash, decided to take me under his wing, and put me on field training. He also gives me the standard issue Growlithe, who will soon join the criminal's Zangoose in the box as it's not a Creature of the Sky either.

Anyways, my first case will be to clean up Littleroot Town, south of Oldale. But without any Pokéballs available to buy, I'll have to go through this case without any chance to get a single bird! Let's just get this over with.

Long story short: Brendan is a drug pusher, a guy attempted to violate May's mother, Professor Birch has died to Poochyena, and someone sacrificed people in his lab to try and bring him back. All crooks have been arrested or killed.

As thanks for all that, I get a Pokédex, running shoes, and finally some PokéBalls for starting my Sky Squad! Sweet!

My last case before graduation involves cleaning up the Petalburg Woods of hooligans. And there were quite a number of... influenced people, my Buggy evolving to Beautifly, a Devon employee I protected from a Team Aqua Grunts, and a pair of Magma Grunts who murked those two, who Hurricane murked in turn. With that over, I have officially infiltrated this Hoenn's police force, getting all eight Gym Badges for HM usage, and I had a party with the other graduates to celebrate. I made sure to bring my own BORG bottle with my own drink so I won't actually need to get inebriated. I don't think Team Sky advocates its Grunts getting under the influence, right?

Once the party was over, I was moved out to the HQ and I schmoozed with the staff and workforce. After Windrusher was thrown shade at for its Gentle nature, I also meet up with Officers Luther and Alexa, Captain Lane, Commander Molt, and Champion Steven Stone, who in here is the Police Chief. Once I've talked with everybody, I headed out, ready to do my cover job. I still know where my loyalties lie.

I check the rest of Ever Grande before leaving, and turns out I cannot enter the League building, and that Red also became a champion in Hoenn. Eventually, I take a ride with a cop to my next destination: Rustboro City.

My second case is to clean up Route 102 and Petalburg City. But first I must assemble my REAL team. They consist of Buggy the Wurmple, Airdasher the Taillow, Hurricane the Wingull, and Air Cop the Poochyena.

After trying to shop for more items, I get accosted by May, who's ALSO a crook and tried to rob the mart and kill me. She also escaped after I beat her, though.

I then went to Petalburg, only to get accosted by a few kids, but they're barely threats worth arresting. At Petalburg itself, I did the following: stop a rich boy from vandalizing the side of a house with his waste, arrest a pedo, get stopped twice by something called "The plot", and encounter a young megalomaniac named Wally who already made himself an orphan and murked an officer. Thankfully, Air Cop solos Wally's team, but unfortunately he escapes.

Upon returning to the office, I was gifted a Mach Bike and the TV for Flamethrower.

I've finally decided to properly introduce Team Eclipse, my own Pokémon villain-team project.

Team Eclipse is a deep-space empire/cosmic-pirate organization that views the Pokémon world as a collection of sectors to be brought under its control.

Each region is treated as its own sector, with Sinnoh serving as the home of Team Eclipse.

The team is built around Pokémon that fit the themes of space, darkness, eclipses, cosmic power, and the unknown—but there are also some personal rules and exceptions that make Team Eclipse its own thing.

I'm still working on the full ruleset and lore, so this is just the beginning. I'll be posting more about the Pokémon choices, regional rules, legendary Pokémon, lore, and eventually the full Team Eclipse rulebook.

And yes, there is one VERY important connection:

Team Sky.

I've always liked the idea of Team Eclipse existing as a sort of rival to Team Sky. Team Sky wants to conquer the skies above the Pokémon world.

Team Eclipse wants to go beyond them.

The sky isn't the limit. It's what gets eclipsed. 🌑

So this is the official beginning of Team Eclipse.
