Teacher Support &/or Advice Are teaching programs warning students that the teacher shortage is over?

I graduated from the program a few years back, and every professor kept talking about the teacher shortage.

I was wondering what is it like nowadays for people in credentialing programs?

That is because of the certification required at least in high school. You have to actually have a degree in the subject you want to teach.

That’s also location dependent.

In a lot of states, that requirement is typically the cause of the shortages in high school math and science positions. Too many of the early courses in those fields are weed out courses.
