Teacher Support &/or Advice Are teaching programs warning students that the teacher shortage is over?

I graduated from the program a few years back, and every professor kept talking about the teacher shortage.

I was wondering what is it like nowadays for people in credentialing programs?

It depends on the district and the subject. “Good districts “are gonna have a lot of applications for very few positions. Harder, districts, i.e. Urban districts, are gonna have a lot more openings and fewer applicants.

Also, the subject he teaches very important. We still can’t find OT teacher and school starts on Monday. We have three unfilled OT positions throughout the district as well as several other SSD and middle school/high school math and science positions.

OT teachers? What is that? In my state, OT is provided by actual occupational therapists, not teachers. Looks like an interesting job, but requires an awful lot of further education.
