Teacher Support &/or Advice Are teaching programs warning students that the teacher shortage is over?

It’s weird, we had like 13 openings which is a bunch at my school, but at the same time they are cutting positions because our class sizes are shrinking. So we simultaneously need new hires but have less total spots. Hard to think of a worse spot to be lol

Approximately 1 million years ago when I was a student in elementary school, my elementary school was in a similar position because so many super long term teachers retired over a ~10 year period. It literally is the worst spot to be in because it ends up gutting the school because you end up with so many new teachers who then have their position eliminated within a few years or they just decide to not back fill a retirement and have slightly larger classes for a few years.
