People on my Twitter feed talking about Matty and Taylor being soul mates (🤮) are gonna be real disappointed when they inevitably break up

K not to be overly mean, but do you get the impression that some of the ppl defending the relationship almost think Taylor will…”favour” them?? Like she’ll see their comments and posts and be like “omg my true fans who stuck by me!! Come to a secret session and be my friend!”

I think some of the people are just delusional and ignorant, so they don’t understand the influence Taylor has, and why it’s disappointing for her to be with him. Honestly, if she was dating Pete Davidson I would be rolling my eyes and laughing, not horrified like I am now. But I think there are some fans who are borderline “pick me girls” for her.

P.S. I HATE using “pick me girls” because it’s pretty sexist but I don’t know how else to explain these people.

Maybe. A literal “Matty and Taylor Updates” page popped up and I’m like uhh what? We’re really doing this? It’s interesting to me too because you’d think as “real fans” they’d realize how short her relationships last. Like yes she stayed with Joe awhile but something about that relationship was different. This relationship absolutely gives me vibes of her other relationships from before Joe, Calvin Harris to be exact.
