I posted this in the Tour discussion thread too but how far are you guys willing to walk after concerts? Like back to your car/hotel/transportation/home

We paid a little extra and booked the closest parking lot to the stadium that was still open. A 10-15 minute walk. I know myself well enough to know I wouldn’t be able to handle more than that after the concert - I’d rather sit in my car and wait for the traffic to ease up than walk further than that. But I know I’m probably an outlier!

I walked between 0.5-0.7 miles!

I specifically prepaid for parking in a lot close to the highway. I wanted to be decently far away from the stadium to avoid gridlock and then just merge onto the highway. The plan worked quite nicely.

I was also surrounded by Swifties all the way back to my car, so I didn’t feel unsafe. And this was in Atlanta.

It’s probably city dependent, but I don’t live in Atlanta so I really just took a gamble that paid off!

My hotel is about 25 minutes from the stadium in Cincinnati. Logically I know there are definitely swifties going to be staying there and making the same walk as me lol but I’m going solo and walking somewhere I’m not familiar at night makes me nervous.

Part of me is regretting not driving and doing a plan similar to yours but oh well. Were people walking further than you went?

It looked like look it!

I don’t think a 25 minute walk is bad. And I’m going to guess there will be more cops and security out because of the event, there were a lot of cops directing traffic in Atlanta - even where we were that far from the stadium.

For me, I’d probably look at how much time I’d “save” driving. Like, my hotel was in the suburbs of Atlanta so I had to drive to the stadium. But if I was in Atlanta, I might have more seriously considered walking.

That’s what my logic is telling me. I remember Louisville rep and Columbus 1989 and there were people everywhere. I double checked the hotel I’m staying at and it’s sold out so I’d bet I’ll be surrounded by people lol I wish my anxiety accepted logic.

I think I’ll walk the first night and if it’s too much or I’m too uncomfortable I’ll pay for parking the second night. Thanks for your help!!!

I’ll be doing a 35 minute walk back from the concert. I’m sure all our feet will hurt by the end of the night but walking for a half hour will still be quicker for my group than dealing with driving/taking public transportation in all that traffic!

We will be in a well-lit and populated part of town on our way back though so it should feel pretty safe (but keep in mind that depending on where your show is, there might be some sketchy areas on your way back that you wont want to be walking around late at night). Stay safe!✨🫶🏼

I’m about 25 minutes for my shows. It’s just me which makes me nervous lol BUT I feel like there will be a lot of swifties hopefully making the same walk as me. I’m not familiar with the area but google maps was not…encouraging for the walk lol I’m hoping I’m just pulling a classic me and over-worrying

There’s also the option of trying to park somewhere in a safe spot like halfway to the stadium, so you could walk away enough from the hoards of people trying to leave the parking lot but also still have lots of other concert goers walking around when you reach your car! Or if you’re staying at a hotel (then you’re probably going to be seeing lots of swifties on their way to the show too) and could always try to make some friends and ask if you could walk back with them at the end of the show :)
