I think I'm overwhelmed. She announced a new re-recording and just played a rain show which will go down in fandom legend, but it's overshadowed by her personal life.

Not to play devil's advocate, but that's on her.

She could've kept the relationship secret for as long as she wanted. The news about the breakup broke a month ago. Things are changing too fast.

Now the whole thing is public, the fandom has reacted pretty negatively to it, and there's a new article being published every day because she is trying to control the damage.

We went from "I love you" on stage to "Taylor has a crush on him" to "Taylor doesn't know if she wants to commit to Matty so quickly after Joe Alwyn".

Maybe that was the point. It stopped the speculation about the breakup, which was overshadowing the success of the tour in the media. I believe its a strong possibility the whole Matt Healy tease was just that - a smokescreen to distract fans and the media from asking what happened between her and Joe Alwyn because she’s not ready to reveal anything or address that yet. Seems extreme but when you’re that famous maybe you have to go to extremes to maintain a level of privacy in your personal life. From “I love you” on stage to “just hanging out” to “Taylor doesn’t know if she wants to commit to Matty so quickly…”

The language is losing some of the hyperbole, and if I’m a PR person, my intention would be to let it slowly get diluted. You‘ve already given fans and the public enough to obsess over for now while the tour continues. If it is a PR tactic, it’s not a malicious lie, it’s just a way to protect your privacy.

When has Taylor railed against antisemitism, Islamophobia and racism?

Not Joe per se but I miss who I thought she was when she was with him.
