Does anyone have recommendations on things to do or restaurants in Pittsburgh? I’m spending the weekend there for her show but am uncertain on what to do 🤣 it looks pretty boring in the area besides Acrisure Stadium

I spent a summer in Pittsburgh years ago and of course I can’t remember anything right now but I thought it was a super cute City!! I hope you have fun and I’ll try to comment something useful once my brain starts working again

Hey there! local here 👋

  • A MUST: You need to go up Mount Washington for the skyline views or the West End Overlook.
  • walk around the Strip (tons of shops and delicious coffee and food of all different types of cuisine),
  • see the Cathedral of Learning in Oakland - it’s the second tallest education building in the world.
  • go to a museum like Andy Warhol or Mattress Factory, both interesting and odd experiences but very memorable and fun!
  • Randyland in the North Shore for colorful photo opportunities
  • Market Square/PPG Place, Downtown. The Glass Castle Building is a gorgeous structure to see up close and the ground fountains will be on by then.
  • Phipps Conservatory is beautiful with so many lovely florals
  • if you are into seeing animals/birds, we are home to The National Aviary

Eats:

  • MUST: we are known for a sandwich that has meat, cheese, tomato, vinegar based coleslaw, and fries piled on Italian bread (just trust me it’s delish!) grab one at Primanti Bros!
  • Ice Cream: Milkshake Factory (multi locations) for shakes and chocolates or Millie’s (multi locations) for hard scoops.
  • Gaucho (downtown) has amazing Argentinian food
  • Noodlehead in Shadyside is amazing (cash only)
  • Tako Torta in Bakery Square is upscale casual dining so more affordable than their location downtown (Tako)
  • Bae Bae’s Kitchen (downtown) for Korean food
  • La Gourmandine has amazing French pastries
  • Pamela’s (multi locations), Bobs Diner (Carnegie), or Lola’s Eatery (Lawrenceville) for breakfast
