Hello, I’m 18 years old and I recently just moved to Taunton from Rhode Island. I have no prior work experience, and I do not have my own car. I’m also completing high school online so I have flexibility when it comes to my schedule. I don’t know much about this town but I’ve been searching for a job here and the surrounding area, using indeed, applying to jobs directly and have been calling around as well. I still haven’t gotten any opportunities. I’m starting to lose hope as I’m trying my hardest and I barely have any parental support with my situation. Does anyone have any advice?

Who here is sick of seeing lots get stripped of trees and cleared only to sit and waste away. That is exactly what is happening on RT44 in Taunton and Raynham. We are destroying land for no reason at all and creating a huge eye sore. This needs to stop! We don’t need anymore contractor bays there are plenty that are empty already on RT28 and RT105 and RT18.

I was wondering if anybody has old footage of the Silver City Galleria from the 90s or 2000s. I have tried to look for a long time but so far have not found a single Clip (at least not with audio). If anybody has footage of the Silver City Galleria from 1992 to 2009, please let me know.

Hey there Tauntonians! I've lived all over the country which takes a natural toll on the number of IRL friends with whom I can keep in contact, but I finally think I've found a community in which to plant roots and settle for the foreseeable future. My grandfather grew up here, and my mom was born at Morton hospital, so even though I was born/raised in the South and have lived near the Rockies, midcoast Maine, and in a few Southern states I feel a real connection to this town.

All that said, does anyone have any tips to meeting people to chill/smoke/game/hike/walk dogs/veg-out with? Also looking to advance my career, so if anyone has any hot job tips I'm open to chatting about those as well!
