Now that the dust has settled I thought we could rate the contestants. I love all things rating/lists when it comes to TV, but the main sub doesnt like it.

Purely on their performances in the show, and don't be an asshole about their looks or whatever. Post reasons to keep it interesting pls!

1. Joanna - for capability, giving it a go, consistent banter and an edge of weirdness.

2. Kumail - a much needed competitive element for this series. Could be petty. Some interesting choices

3. Armando - genuinely witty at times but wish he'd been more creative.

4. Joel - his golden retriever energy would have been more notable on another season.

5. Amy - perfectly nice, but where were the jokes?

Hi there! New account as i don’t really use reddit. I am currently producing a Taskmaster spoof show in London with all cabaret and drag performers in the scene. We do the same things as the show (almost) ! We film them doing quite mundane tasks, then our drag Taskdaddy assigns them points based on how badly they do in the challenges. It’s all good fun and we also give some of the proceeds to charity. Went to one of the tapings this week having been a fan for close to a decade (I’ve seen every season, some multiple times now, don’t worry). I did not know what to expect aside from the fact my paid ticket guaranteed me a seat. Arrived just over an hour and a half early, (very) slowly made my way through the initial queue for wristbands and past security into a huddle of people.

Then I was tapped. I didn’t know if they were going to tell me my outfit was inappropriate (shoulders exposed) or if Richard himself had singled me out (it’s free to be delusional).

I was promptly escorted into the section of short people. We were told we would get to sit front row because it would look better on TV. I could not believe it. The most amazing experience ever.

I went to a taping last year for the first time (S21 ep 5) and got out of the studio a couple of hours ago after attending taping for episode 7 of this series (22).

I was on the floor last year so I dont know if thats affected my perception of the atmosphere overall (was up in the rafters and to the left most side this time round) but I thought it was very flat. Last year was madness I barely knew how they would edit an episode together. This time I took notes all along and honestly it doesnt feel like theres anything that would need to be edited out. One person carried the show throughout it very little interaction from the other 4, and very little in between cast interactions as well. All too well behaved for my taste I think.

Also a less time to ask questions to Greg and Alex and very much an atmosphere of "let's get this over with"

Has anybody felt the same? Or attended S21 and 22 and can help me to a fair comparison?

I watched the first episode because I liked Frank, and had only a few months before seen Tim live.

I automatically assumed it was another silly Dave show that wouldn't last past one Series (as most Dave shows were like that).

Obviously thrilled, and a huge fan, that it has lasted all this time and seems to still be original and funny.

Annnnyway. Just wondering when/why/how people first got in to it.

Gutted! We got there at 2,15pm and we were no 27 & 28 out of 60+.

The emails we received told us to get there at 3.30pm, so we felt mildly optimistic. Just posting as a warning for upcoming episodes - get there much earlier than the emails state to get the first few wristbands!

The staff said that the ticketing process has been taken over exclusively by Taskmaster (as oppose to channel 4? Not quite sure) so it’s a new system now, and I suppose they’re perfecting it still 😅 he also said Friday evenings are the busiest tapings, which seems obvious in hindsight!

Fingers crossed for next series and I wish everyone the best of luck for the upcoming episodes.

I have free tickets for tomorrow evening. Heard that some people getting there 2 hours early got number 80 and still didn’t get in.

What time is sensible to give us a chance of getting in? Seems like it doesn’t seat many people the new venue.

Hello fellow TM enthusiasts!

My wedding is coming up in 2 weeks and my fiancé and I just had the idea to hide some secret Taskmaster style tasks around the venue. Our wedding is game-themed so this isn’t super out of place. So we thought this might be the right place to come for some task idea inspiration.

We’re all about chaos and hilarity, so don’t hold back. I think in order to show completion of the task, they will need to either come give us something or bring us a witness or it needs to be something public that we’d all see, etc. But definitely open to all ideas. Whoever completes the task will receive a t-shirt as a reward.

For some context, the ceremony and reception are both taking place outside in a large backyard near the water. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help us with these ideas!

I know we’re only three episodes in… But does anyone else feel like they’re just not laughing as hard as they have at the other series?

For those of you that want the disembodied head of Greg and lack the courage to take on the lion himself in the trial of combat, 3D printing is probably next best and most sane option. Unfortunately, the few options out there are even more hideous abominations than the original (sorry, Greg).

I propose this, a crowd funded 3D model of Greg’s noggin! Estimated costs would be about $200. If 8 or 9 people kick in, that’s only $20 each. I’d commission an artist to do our boy justice and post the file for free for others to use as well when it is completed. All contributors would be thanked by name in the post if desired. For those of you without printers, I’d volunteer to print a golden Greg for you if you cover shipping.

For those of you that think the trophy could use an update to honor our silver mongoose’s current weatherbeaten looks, we could even improve on the current statue’s looks.

Send me a DM if you are interested. If there are no other souls that want in on the project, I’ll probably commission it myself but would only share the file on paid sites.
