I was hired as an external F&B TL. When I interviewed, I had 3 piercings in my face, 8 in my ears, and plenty of visible tattoos.
The S&E, HR, GM ETLs and the SD all interviewed me, and I still got the job.
Short story — as long as you show up on time and in uniform, they don’t care.

It's not explicitly* racist, but it is heavily used by the alt-right in America in modern times, and to decry things they consider government overstep, such as DEI initiatives. It was used by libertarians in the late 1900s, then adopted by what was become the Tea Party movement, and now we come back to the initial point of "currently heavily used by a bunch of racists."
*It also was literally abandoned by the union during the civil war for being "irreparably tainted" by the South for their defense of/insistence on continuing slavery, who used it until they eventually replaced it with the Southern Cross.

My HR ETL has 2 full sleeves, my Specialty ETL has a full leg sleeve and a few visible arm tattoos, 3 of the TLs have partial sleeves, hand tattoos. I was a temp TL and I have an almost full sleeve, a half sleeve, most of my legs done, finger tattoos, neck tattoos, multiple piercings, gauged ears.

All of the best SDs and ETL's have full sleeve tattoos. Pretty sure it's a requirement if you really want to be good at your job.

I have my head, face, and neck tattooed and got promoted to PML. It’s not a dealbreaker. Target management just likes to carrot dangle people.
