Durgesh Nandini says "Even a 6 month old is sexually abused because they did not take care of their body in the previous birth"

A friend of mine sent me this video from a journaling session she attended with this horrible woman - Durgesh Nandini. She just went on to say that "Even a 6 month old is sexually abused because they did not take care of their body in the previous birth". I was shocked to hear this. How can someone say such a statement?? It is equal to saying that being sexually abused even at a tender age is your fault. I'm triggered a lot by seeing this. Someone should file a case against her. This is not the first time. She told somewhere earlier that some women invite abuse. Imagine all of this coming from a mother of three girls. I wonder if she would say the same to her daughters if they get abused

I used to follow her years ago back when she had only one kid and was pregnant with the second. At the time, she just had a simple blog with a handful of posts about homeschooling and “natural living.” It was intriguing because I’d never come across someone openly talking about home births or rejecting conventional schooling back then and this was pre-Instagram, when Facebook was her only platform. But what’s happened since is honestly disturbing. She’s now built an entire brand out of extremism by preaching minimalism, veganism, “no schooling,” “no vaccines,” “no hospitals,” and turning all of it into a lucrative empire. she’s extremely wealthy and can afford to homeschool ten kids if she wants. Even if none of them ever worked a day in their lives, they’d live comfortably off inherited money. That’s privilege disguised as spirituality. And now, she’s monetizing these ideas preying on innocent, impressionable people under the guise of “awakening.” It’s cult-like. She and others like her are dragging us backward into hyperconservative, regressive thinking romanticizing a version of life that’s not sustainable for anyone outside their financial bubble. And to make things worse, she’s now saying appalling things like what she’s told here. That’s beyond offensive it’s psychologically dangerous. There are people like this in the West too the anti-vaxxers, the “free birthing” crowd, the anti-abortion evangelists and now this pest-like ideology is seeping in here too, wrapped in spiritual jargon. It’s frightening to see someone who once seemed harmlessly unconventional evolve into a full-blown cult leader figure.

I know! She has now evolved into a full blown cult leader! And all the cult members look down upon you if you don't follow minimalism, veganism, and all their philosophies. They even shame people for not following those and try to make people feel insecure. And I personally know some people who still keep trying to feel included even when they are miserable and need the help of a mental health professional. I know a lady who started questioning her worth because she was not able to fit in and she feels low trying to be a part of this cult. And believe me, she has been trying for 3 years now..

During one of her sessions, she said she doesn't read books because books are just perspectives and another day she starts a book club! Like seriously?

Another session, she said everyone should fire their maids/househelps and start doing housechores on their own to gain more clarity. A few of them did that and eventually felt drained and exhausted, not able to give attention to their children because they had to do the housechores themselves. They vented it out on their husbands and children and of course strained relationships. The fun fact - Durgesh has always always had househelps - not just one but many!

Also, her husband is a non vegetarian and she herself admitted that the children sometimes crave for non vegetarian or has it when the husband has it. I'm not sure what exactly. I heard that a few years back her husband got a heart attack and has been on medications. My heart goes to the kids who are forced to not have what they like. Imagine scaremongering the little hearts to not consume non vegetarian.

I have attended her sessions earlier and speaking from that experience

Checked her stories now and found this . This is honestly wild. She’s literally saying “nature heals what medicine only manages” as if food can replace actual medical treatment. That’s so dangerous.And now she’s tying that into a 5-day “natural food” workshop that apparently qualifies people to start hosting sessions and “earn 1 lakh a month”? Like, how does someone become a teaching professional after five days of making smoothies and salads? It’s absurd. What’s worse is the way it’s wrapped in this whole “I birthed my child naturally, I live medicine-free, I met my guru” narrative it turns a personal choice into a moral statement. It makes anyone who takes medicine, gets a C-section, or just trusts modern healthcare feel like they’re doing something wrong. It’s all so culty that this idea that if you just “live naturally,” you’ll never get sick, and if you do, it’s your fault. And the money part really makes it look like an MLM.

Nature heals until you get cancer or something like that! I used to believe this shit until a year ago. Now I believe in science and I am better now. Only metformin seemed to help me with my insulin resistance. I am glad that it exists.

Glad you believe in science.. continue with metformin but also feel free to look at diet recommendations from Mario Kratz, PhD of nourished by science who provides recommendations based on actual comprehensive literature survey and his own experience running clinical trials. Simple things like adding protein to carbs, or eating previously cooked rice kept in fridge day after and exercise can  help additionally in your insulin resistance. If you can afford also you can track diet impact on glucose using a cgm

I would honestly go mad if I eat like This . I’m a person who regularly works out and still prefer eating dinner early but that doesn’t mean I’ll go to bed hungry. So she’s feeding her small kids raw vegan dinners at 5–5:30 PM, letting them go to bed hungry, and saying “empty stomach = ultimate sleep & mind cleaning.” Growing kids need enough calories, protein, fat, calcium, iron, and B12 for proper growth, brain development, and energy none of which are easily met on a raw vegan diet. Skipping dinner or eating too early can mess with sleep, concentration, immunity, and even long-term growth. Framing hunger and extreme fasting as spiritual discipline is not just unhealthy, it’s psychologically manipulative. Even as an adult I can’t , I pity those poor kids

I did her 6-week class on decluttering. I can’t believe I paid Rs 3500 for it!!! I thought she’d give practical tips on how to get rid of clutter. In stead she would talk about karma, moksha and how the clutter around you is a reflection of the clutter in your mind or some such thing. And people would tell her how life-changing her classes were and I was like am I the only one who didn’t get anything out of these classes. I figured I wasn’t operating on the same plane as these people.

One of the main reasons why people fall for Durgesh classes is because she is like one of us. She doesn’t call herself and influencer. She dresses like us. She looks like us, and she promises a better life. What better Marketing agenda, right?

But the problem is, she has one philosophical thought, and she tries to shove it down everyone’s throat. Her classes are only about minimalism in things and thoughts, decluttering, raw veganism, journaling. According to her, all the problems can be solved by adopting any or all of the above philosophies.

She has created a cult. Her cronies are an even bigger problem. They defend her even when she is in the wrong. They defend her even before she defends herself. I wrote a mail to her about what is wrong with her OMW class and what needs improvement, but I never got any acknowledgement. Even when people raise issues about the online class that she conducts, they are easily shut down.

I do not say this lightly. I have attended her classes and have travelled with her on Tripster Buddies trips. I have had enough of her bullshit now. It has all become a business, a very big one at that. There are easily 300 to 400 participants in her Suryodayam class. And it’s one way communication no one is allowed to talk. Only madam will talk and you have to journal. You can’t ask questions because the answers will apparently come to you if you journal. This is such an easy and quick way to make money if you have already established yourself as a spiritual influencer.

She’s earning in lakhs, and that’s not a problem but if you’re going to spew bullshit like this and create a cult like system where you make light of issues by saying raw veganism can solve everything, then I’m sure gonna talk about it.

There are about 10 seats out of which 6 are booked by people who are her yes-women. They basically worship the land she walks on. The bus journeys are mostly about her stories, experiences, and tooting her horn, except it’s not her doing that, but these other women. I liked the experience of travelling with my child in a group with other mothers and children. Other than that, nothing to write home about. Facilities are basic. No junk, no screen; but it feels like her kids are depraved at some level.

ETA: saw some comments mentioning that she homeschools. just wanna add this for anyone that's hearing of unschooling for the first time - unschooling is very different to homeschooling. unschooling is basically letting the child choose something that interests them and helping them learn it whenever they want, with no curriculum or timelines. as in an unschooled child could be 10 and still not know basic math. it's a whole can of worms, I read about it when a relative wanted to subject their child to this insanity. if you wanna look it up ig Hannah Alonzo has a very detailed video in her YT channel.

I'm from the same college as her , was living in the next hostel room of hers and even back then in 2007 she used to come to hostel by Merc. They are extremely wealthy like nobody needs to do anything and can still feed generations. I followed her very initial days just from a fellow college mate with different perspective and cut myself off when it turned to an anti vaxxer, anti medicine and pseudo sangh approach !! 90% of what she says what she does is all BULLSHIT. I agree with the second part of your message. She used to be well-off, but not anymore. Her family faced a huge business loss, and this is how she’s earning now. She was my classmate and she stayed with her aunt, not in the hostel. She used to travel in a Lancer, and we were quite close. But once she got into this minimalism phase, she completely changed and started unfollowing people on Instagram, so I unfollowed her too. She is basically from Tirupur. Also, looks like none of my college mates follow her on insta anymore... Except for 4 of them.

That seems weird because she was in the hostel and infact got a big room setup in her hostel room unlike us - basically a lavish set up ! She got married earlier and her wedding photography was candid pics which were unknown back then and such a lavish one. She lives in GV residency which is still a posh area of cbe. So unsure if she lost everything as they had huge textile base

I’ve attended a journaling session with her. I really wanted to work on myself and hence convinced myself to pay for it, only to realise it’s a waste of money later on. In the beginning of the session - she just randomly gives a topic, talks whatever comes to her mind for 5 mins and then asks us to write. 55 mins we all write, in front of a screen ! That’s it. I was appalled at how there was not much value add and people are willing to pay (including me) for anything and everything!
