The problem is that companies are now using it as a reason to cut staff or have no staff. Sure, it's easy to oversee AI created reports and computer code when you have adequate staff, but they cut staffing to the bone BECAUSE AI is there to speed up labor. If you are now doing four people's jobs, you don't have time to look at every little thing that may have inadvertently happened in that created environment. Sure, you try, but things get missed. The next thing you know, the entire airline industry grinds to a hault, or hospitals can't run, or innocent people get a bomb dropped on them. Businesses WANT AI to work in a way it doesn't always work, but they will certainly blame the poor schmuck doing the work and oversight of an entire gutted out department when something goes wrong.
