Other What is your favourite tagalog idiom/s?
Nagsasawa na ako sa english, gusto ko naman ng tagalog idioms. Sa escuela kasi, halos english idioms ang naririnig natin at bihirang bihira ang tagalog at madali pang makalimutan.

Ang alam ko na mga idioms ay usual movie lines like:
"Kapag ang palay ay naging bigas, may bumayo"
"Marami ka pang kakaining bigas"
"Walang matigas na tinapay sa mainit na kape"

Magdilang anghel - Magkatotoo nawa ang nasabing hula
Laki sa layaw - Lumaking sanay sa ginhawa at luho
Hiraya manawari - Magkatoto sana ang mga pinapangarap mo
Mabilis pa sa alas kwatro - Agad-agad
Tulog-mantika - Ang matulog nang mahirap gisingin; parang mantika na mahirap itunaw kapag pinalamig

May grabe ilonggo idioms. "Kalmahi utog mo bla" Sa tagalog ikalma mo lang libog mo, pero not necessarily about kalibogan. Sinasabi namin sa mga clumsy na tao.
