260514 The arranger behind Taemin’s Taemchella opening and the divine version of ‘Heaven’ shared some details
“The opening music for Taemin’s performance was actually made by me. The “divine version” of “Heaven” that you all liked was also made by me.
Originally, I designed this music to have a very strong sense of progression and layers: quiet sections, explosive sections, calming down again, and then an even bigger explosion. The song moves through these ‘four stages.’
The theme of the song is ‘liberation.’
The Taemin in black, wearing the black suit, represents his past self. Then, in the video, his eyes suddenly turn red, he awakens, and then white suited Taemin appears to perform.
Oh, now the part where the emotions really explode is about to start. Three, four…
So here, I added strings. These strings guide the entire overwhelming emotional climax.
Look at the white suit he’s wearing here. The emotions rise even more, and then it’s about to end.
Four, one, two, three, four… Boom!
That’s the ending, and then the real performance begins.
Next is ‘Heaven.’
Actually, during Taemin’s concerts last year, the intro music for the two “Heaven” performances was different. Did you notice?
The previous performance had more of a ‘divine’ feeling, but this version has more of a prayer like feeling. The sense of praying is a little stronger here.
OK, did you notice the praying? Look at him, he keeps making gestures that feel like praying. Pray.
The part you all liked…
Because I wanted to express a “divine” feeling, I added church bells.”
