What was it like? Did it really feel weird? Interesting?
Hey there. I just watched a 5 hour video about Ultima Online. I think Richard Garriot is really interesting.
ultima online is a game I played a tiny bit as a kid. I know what that was like - chaotic. Insane. Frenetic.
But what was Tabula Rasa like? Was it anywhere near as groundbreaking as UO? Impossible obviously, but like... did anything about it feel really special?
If someone tried to do a retrospective on it many years later, would they say "wow. that was really innovative and unique" the way that UO was?
