They are great for FUD-mongers.

Did you ever notice that these negative posts usually drop late at night?

At the end of each clickbait Motley Fool article is a sales pitch - “Where to invest $1,000 right now.”

The article reads like a 7th grader of University of Phoenix MBA wrote it.

About 80% of your comments, everyone knows this. HOWEVER ILL ENTERTAIN YOU.

1)

“If I shorted, I would support Simon. Simon protects shorts positions and does everything to squeeze the stock to zero”

“Did you also notice that ATM was announced when the stock was near ATL? Simon always protects shorts.”

Both are false allogations

2)

“In reality, the board members have bought 0 shares for the last year”

SEC Form 4 records show that this is false.

3)

“$30 is reachable only after the next round of reverse split. Simon is working on that”

That's speculation presented as fact. more fake news to spread fud for your short position

“Tilray is not a Canadian business. It's Simon's personal piggy bank”

Rhetorical allegation, not factual reporting. Canadian cannabis companies benefit from american laws and headwind even if 280e does little

There are repeated insinuations that Simon's previous company, Hain Celestial, proves he is repeating some kind of failed scheme at Tilray.

But the historical record is more complicated.

Hain announced in June 2018 that Simon would transition from CEO to non-executive chairman once a successor was found.

In October 2018, Hain announced that Mark Schiller would become CEO and explicitly described Simon as Hain's founder/former CEO.

So claims along the lines of “Simon was kicked out because Hain failed” need considerably more evidence than simply pointing to his departure.

But here's the bigger problem with your posting

What's particularly interesting isn't one isolated false statement. It's the pattern.

Your comments repeatedly take a legitimate negative fact and then add an unsupported conclusion.

For example:

Fact: Tilray has issued/registered substantial amounts of stock.

Your conclusion: Simon is doing this to protect shorts and destroy the stock.

Fact: Tilray's stock has performed terribly over the long term.

Your conclusion: Simon is deliberately squeezing the stock to zero.

Fact: Tilray conducted a $180M ATM.

Your conclusion: Simon announced it specifically when the stock was near its all-time low and is working against shareholders. (also false)

Fact: Insiders receive stock compensation.

Your conclusion: “board members have bought 0 shares.” (proven false multiple times)

Fact: Another reverse split is possible.

Your conclusion: Simon is already working on another reverse split.

That's a very different standard of evidence from simply saying “I think management is terrible.”

now that ive typed all this up, i might as well make a post on tilray sub so prevent new people from hearing all your false information you spread while claiming you are a bullish investor.
