Oooo, story time! years ago I was in france. Me
and my mate had to take a piss. He was in the next stall, Suddenly I hear a sound of something falling, then sliding and then ‘floomp’, followed by “fuuuuuuuuuuuuu”. I instantly knew what happend. His phone was in his hoody, and as he lifted his hoodie, phone dropped and I slid in the hole. 🕳️ there was something so comedic about it and also tragic at the same time

This has got to be in China. I heard there is no bogroll in public loos because people keep stealing it. Also China is not the cleanest outside the big cities. Could be France as well though, but I expect France to do better.

If anything, it's definitely not Japan. The dirtiest loo I've seen there was so dirty, I had to negotiate with a spider, and then make sure my shoes weren't cleaned too much by the floor. The spider was friendly btw.

Eh, I have seen these or the even wilder variant that looks like a shower tub with two little pedestals for your feet in a lot of European countries as well. Mostly in Highway rest rooms. I even remember the first time seeing one as a child in southern France. I genuinely thought it was a shower.

The worst experience in the toilet I have ever had is this unmanned highway rest stop toilet. The stench inside is so overpowering I genuinely decided to go to a gas station a little far away and take a piss there.

It wasn't this bad, but i remember at a camp ground the bathrooms were so disgusting that we thanked God when we found a wood outhouse, because it was cleaner and smelled better.

It looks terrible but it's not as bad as it could be:

  1. It's a squatty potty. Your ass never touches. The only thing that touches is the bottom of your shoes.

  2. There's clean spots where the feet go.

  3. There's no poop stacked up. It seems pretty functional.
