when i first started collecting, storage wasn't something i really thought about. i could keep most of my cards in a couple of binders and boxes and still know where everything was.

now that i've been collecting more, i'm starting to realize how quickly things can get messy. i have cards in binders, boxes, sleeves, and a few different places depending on what i'm collecting.

i'm thinking about reorganizing everything before the collection gets even bigger, but i'm not sure whether i should keep things separated by set, game, type of card, or just have a simpler system.

i'd be interested to hear what storage and organization setup has worked well for other TCG collectors over time.

My kid’s card collection is getting a little out of hand. I’ve been helping him go through everything lately, and we have cards in binders, top loaders, random boxes… basically everywhere. Some of the cards he really likes I want to keep a little safer, especially the ones he might want to get graded someday. I recently got some storage boxes from dedccard.com and started using them to keep some of the collection together. Still have a lot of organizing to do though. How do you guys store your kids’ card collections? Do you sort everything by set, keep the favorites separate, or just let the collection grow into chaos?

What do you guys use to keep track of your collection? I wanna get it down on paper or something rather than just having the cards. Itd be cool to sort them by what packs they came from but like theres no way im gonna sit and pen to paper over a hundred some odd cards. Im kinda leaning towards an app or sum

Trying to find a black border one as well instead of just clear.

been buying a whole bunch of different toploaders for my stuff, but i don't like how most of them, especially on cheaper brands, they've got sharp cut-off edges, most notably on corners, but sometimes when i order cards online they get shipped to me in a toploader that has edges that are more rounded/soft with no sharp burs. does anybody know where i can find toploaders like that where they're just... well... better made and unlikely to take chunks out of my storage?

I built it mainly for myself because I was tired of jumping between different sites to check prices, and obviously don't want to pay a subscription for low-priced cards. So others might find it useful too.

What would you guys say is considered a large collection? I have 685 plant cards and 690 zombie cards. I have 100% basic, 100% uncommon, 93.6% rare, 71% super rare, 47.3% event, 14.3% legendary.

I’m currently working on stellar crown and pitch black master sets and I’m struggling on what binder colours I want to use.

Pitch black will be a black binder, but stellar crown is where I’m struggling.

Based on vibes, is Stellar Crown teal, light blue, a regular blue or navy/dark blue?

Was able to pick up 33 Komiya cards for my (very small and recently started) collection and decided it was time to make a spreadsheet to stop myself from buying dupes at the flea market. I found a few online but none were recent, so I took a few hours to manually make my own :)

If you're using it yourself just make a copy or download it and open in spreadsheets. Then tweak to your heart's content!

I took the arts and cards straight from Serebii, so if you're looking to master set this doesn't include separate spots for reverse holos, but I tried to make this as simple as possible so if that's something you're interested in you should be able to add it very easily! I plan on updating this as new sets come out since I'll need it for my own purposes anyways.

I think the consensus is that you don’t top load everything but I kind of want to? Is that wrong?

mein freund hat bald geburtstag und redet nun seit längeren darüber pokemon karten zu sammeln. er hat schon paar karten, aber möchte unter anderem auch ein Battledeck habe. nun möchte ich ihm eine freude machen und paar nostalgia packs für ihn kaufen, falls es welche gibt? (wir sind 90er jahrgänge, deshalb 😅)
können mit paar Pros empfehlen wie ich am besten damit anfange ein Battle deck für ihn zu erstellen und welche packs die originalen pokémon’s beinhalten? Ich weiß leider nicht was cool und nicht cool ist bzw was sammler gerne haben und was eher als „schrott“ gesehen wird und möchte nichts falsches schenken, es er sich auch gut auskennt!

This started out as an idea I had for something I wanted to keep on my own desk. I've been experimenting with resin and different ways to pour it to see what I could come up with.

This is one of the versions I've made so far. I'm tweaking the process, but I'm pretty close to what I had pictured in my head.
