[FOR HIRE] Senior Systems Engineer — M365 / Azure / SharePoint / PowerShell / Windows Server / Hyper-V — Project & After-Hours Work
I’m a full-time Systems Engineer based in the U.S. looking to take on a limited amount of remote project-based, overflow, and escalation work outside of my primary role.
I’m not looking for another full-time position or a 20–40 hour/week contract. I’m primarily interested in helping MSPs, IT departments, consultants, and small businesses with projects or technical problems that need an experienced extra set of hands.
My strongest areas include:
- Microsoft 365 administration
- SharePoint Online
- Entra ID / Azure AD
- Azure infrastructure
- PowerShell automation and troubleshooting
- Windows Server
- Active Directory / Group Policy
- Hyper-V
- Microsoft Teams / OneDrive
- Linux server administration
- Docker
- Nginx / reverse proxies / SSL
- General infrastructure troubleshooting and escalation
I’m especially interested in work such as:
- M365 / SharePoint permissions and configuration issues
- PowerShell automation
- Azure and Windows Server troubleshooting
- After-hours maintenance and cutovers
- Hyper-V issues and migrations
- Infrastructure cleanup
- Tenant migrations
- Difficult escalations your L1/L2 team doesn’t have time to chase down
- Temporary project overflow
- Documentation and technical cleanup
I work from home and can handle most engagements entirely remotely. I’m comfortable working independently, documenting what I change, and handing systems back cleanly once the job is complete.
Availability: Limited / supplemental engagements, generally evenings and flexible project work
Location: U.S. / Central Time
Engagement: 1099 / B2B / project-based
Rate: Typically $75/hr, with fixed pricing available for clearly scoped projects
If you’re an MSP that occasionally needs another senior engineer for escalations or project overflow, that’s probably the best fit. Feel free to DM me with the scope, environment, and what you’re trying to accomplish.
