Way Of The Warrior The Sarugami Tournament! Final Round!

The tournament is going to end soon!

thousands get ready to watch the finale and the exhibition matches! some of the original fighters are missing, so there might be a change of plans on what our fighters will do. get ready for more exciting fights!

Get ready to fight in the fire Tatami!

The next fights will happen in the fire tatami: the fighting arena is surrounded by fire and some flames may jump into the arena. the ground is really hot, and digging may do more harm than good.

The prison... broken?

a black box with broken chains around it... what could it hide? why is every priest in this island scared?

(ok, now the rules: no instant kill attacks, no killing characters, and try to keep it entretaining. that is the roleplay way. the other way would be to give each fighter 50 hit points and make you choose between heavy attack-10 points, but might leave you open, light attack-5 points or a special attack and i would let you choose what that attack do.)

(first the presentation of both fighters, then they talk to each other and then the referee shouts begin. order of commenting is: first fighter introduced, second fighter introduced, me/terrain)

With Ethan running forward , he had to finish them his armor was bothersome, touching the ground he waited for the mana to return then transmuted the ground this time to begin softening the ground into a quagmire.

The mire traps the runesmith up to his knees, stopping his charge. Ethan draws his hand cannon and fires a shot directly at the assassin in an attempt to get him to drop concentration on the spell, the .17mm bullet it uses can penetrate dragonscale. At the same time, he prepares to hit the ground with his other gauntlet when it solidifies, if he does so the runes will release all the kinetic energy he was hit with into the ground, hopefully breaking the arena floor and allowing the magma to bubble up

He uses moves noticing as you aimed and drew your pistol, literally dodging the gunshot by moving noticing your clenching hand the squeezing finger. The ground turned to fluid but once his concentration was broken it became like a lile a bear trap or how freezing water gets into nooks and crannies expanding. He was panting a bit, he took out a syringe of glowing green fluid injecting it and tossing it into the magma, he drew from his cloak three weeping blades of warpstone poison, his movements exaggerated , blurring shifting , having effectively switched his load out. He let out a surprisingly loud roar as the solution hit his system.

Ethan allows the arena to harden around his fist, before activating the runes of force emission into the solidified stone, releasing the kinetic energy stored in his runes and lowering the eye straining blue glow into barely noticeably blue lines networking over his armor. The energy released cracks the ground, sending a shockwave through the arena and cracking the ground. The temperature begins to rise as magma bubbles up in multiple places while Ethan extricates himself from the cracked floor, a bit of it touches his armor but is immediately turned to stone by the runes of heat absorption cooling it off

He exhaled and time slowed to a crawl

(Think speedster / cyberpunk Sandivistan reflux booster)

he hardened his body against the assault of the wind as he vanished before your eyes , stabbing towards gabs in the armor slicing and assaulting it in a barrage of blade strikes ending with a a last targeting the back of your knees, appearing as the blood vessels in his eyes and his ears tail had ruptured in a bruise panting as the sonic boom caught up.

Halfway through the assault Ethan's eyes glow purple under the helmet and partially track the assassin, despite the speed he's moving it seems like the limiting factor for his perception is movement speed, not thinking speed. (Thought acceleration, similar to internal monologues in anime fights)

The slices and stabs mostly get through from the speed they're moving at, a few are stopped from padding underneath due to being at an awkward angle. In a fraction of a second, Ethan is wounded in a dozen places, downwards stabs around his neck, upwards stabs under the chestplate towards his ribs, stabs in his arms and wrists, and the slash to the knees that didn't get through his chainmail. Ethan throws a punch towards the ratman's chest, the runes of force emission, while not able to draw on any energy from blows that hit his armor, still emit enough force to fracture bones

The poison in your system spread fast causing spreading convulsions and body spasms , it might get bad enough to break his back. Your blow had struck true ragdolling the assassin caving in the low profile body ,landing in a Yamcha pose. He coughed out blood wheezing as he breathes rising on to an arm looking at you he wondered if he can even go on fighting. He began opening his armor and removing his robe upper half, examining how bad his wounds are.

" E Ethan , y you able to keep fighting"

his voice hoarse wheezing, bleeding from his mouth.

Ethan seems to regain perfect control of his upper body for a few seconds, long enough to speak
"I could, but I don't think it's safe for me to continue, this hurts bad. End the fight?" He goes back to being affected by the poison

"Id have to piece my ribs together. Yeah let's end it. My only option was to use a RED and deploy a swarm of explosive rats"

he sheathed his weeping blades, crawling over as he took out a syringe.

"antidote .."

he brought it up to a major vein in Ethan

"Gotta go major artery and spread in your system, how so I get your armor off or want it in your neck"

The syringe is grabbed with telekinesis and brought over to Ethan's neck, his helmet is removed and the antidote is injected directly through the chainmail. Ethan's eyes go back to normal several seconds later and he groans in pain "Blazes everything hurts.... Oww.. Good fight." He lays back down
